Allison's POV
Sunday morning.

7am

I can't remember when last I heard the sounds of musical instruments and chores singing. I've almost forgotten how annoying it is.

Thanks Chicago for the reminder.

I hope coming here wasn't a mistake.
I mean now Aimy would have to miss her perfect attendance.
She has kept it since grade school. I'm not sure she'd do well with accepting that. I wish a miracle could happen.

I was still lost in my own thoughts, when I heard a slight knock on my door, and my mom's head slips in next, when she realized I was awake, the rest of her body follows.

"I just remembered we ran out of food supplies yesterday. Let's go get more together. I also need to spend some quality time with my hija (daughter) too you know.
When we get back we'd have a family service like we used to." My mom concludes sweetly.

"Sure mom, let me freshen up first" I replied with a yarn. She was about leaving, but I stopped her.
"Wait, mom. Can I ask you something?"

"Anything dear" She replies, stepping back in to join me on the bed
"So, what is it?" she added, giving me her undivided attention.

"Mom, do you think I'm a good mother? I mean, I barely spend time with Aimy, and she barely speaks to me about things going on in her life. We fight a lot- she might let it off with a rushed apology- but somehow something still feels off." I concluded confusingly.

"You sound confused?" Mom asks

"I am confused." I replied

She gets me.

"You know, you weren't a piece of cake to handle- when you were still a teen- either. Remember; it took you years before you finally told me about your secret relationship with that husband of yours."

"Mom, how does that have to do with any of this?" I asked furiously

"Well, let's just say try seeing her like you saw yourself 15 years ago. What were the things and ways you wanted me to relate to you in, then use it on her. She is your daughter, she has some part of you in her." My mom concluded, with a arm on my shoulder.

"..Anyways, whenever you're done sobbing over something so little, would you get dressed so we could go gather breakfast" Mom added getting up. I just smiled in return.

I watched her let herself out of my room, then continued in my thoughts for a while, before heading to the bathroom.

"Mom might've a point though, all teens do have one thing in common."

Aimy's POV
Continuation

9am

I'm down the street of Chicago. In one city church.
I'm certainly dozing- I shouldn't be dozing. I mean this guy is making sense, but I guess I do have some of my mother's traits flowing through my vein.

I've gotta get out of here.

As I stood up and tried to sneak off, something very weird occured.
The preacher guy yells, stop!

"Stop- who- why?!"

"Stop!" He yelled again.

At first I thought he was talking to me, but I later realized it was just part of the program. But I did sit back down.
