Hi everyone, this is a little break I wanted to make because I wanted to discuss Y/N in this book because...because I want to discuss him and I would love to hear you're criticizing when it comes to my writing and his development as a character...and also I'll like to discuss my concepts and how his character came to me and resolve one criticism I got a lot on the first chapter which I understand the actions he did where random and especially since you all didn't know who he was or why he acted that way.

Origen of the book and Y/N as a person

Ok so the origin of this book was kind of funny, I was in the middle of almost finishing or Finishin my second book "Welcome to wonderland" Which is a dumpster fire on its own, on that book I let everyone choose who they wanted to romance and I was surprised all choose Tamaki, So in that book, I kinda regretted not developing Tenkos and Y/Ns relationship and I had just at the time deleted my first story uploaded here called something "Hope" which girl who let me wrote that...that was a mess on its own...horrible writing...horrible development...the only reason that book was up for so long was that It kinda made me heal, it was like a self-therapy book in which I let out all of my pain and not trauma but like all my repress feeling it had (Homophobia, feeling of not being worth love, depression, etc) And at the time and to this day I loved Kirishima and he was kind of my comfort character and he at the time still is; So after the first two horrible books I wanted to try and redeem myself and write another story in which it took elements of both books, the drepesss or traumatic character, with horrible event in life who tried his best to be good, As for Y/N and its quirk I got the idea of his quirk from a conversation that I had with my younger brother, he was talking about if he had power he would control plants and how I could control poison and stuff like that...So that night I began to kind of draft the idea on a blank page and be like.

Ok, bitch who is this hoe? At first, I was going for a sexy feminine man, a very Bayonetta-type of feeling, also I wanted a fucked up origin, and to be completely honest the character is definitely female-coded (To be completely hottest I know it's terrible when it comes to writing but I wanted Y/N who is a man to have that almost female aspect to him without him losing his masculinity, I tried to kind of balance him) he is the embodiment of female coding when it comes to superhero and kind of the misogynistic female coding but in a man's body, what I mean with this is that Y/N at its core is: Emotional, A parent figure but mostly a mother figure to Hanashi (This is why Hanashi is such an important role in the story because I took inspiration from the scarlet witch) his quirk is a part of his emotions, and if you have read until now you know why...

but I also wanted to make him vulnerable, behind all the sexy and secure mask he uses at the beginning of the chapter we know he is weak, he is kind, he is lonely, he is scared, and depress but most importantly he is insecure that is why in one of the chapters when Y/N was talking with the principal Nezu he said "We all wear masks some of us know how to use them better than other" Which if you pay attention he was talking to himself, Y/N is the embodiment of a child how uses a self-protection mechanism against others, his insecurities when it comes to his body and image boom plays off as the sexy and seductive type, his emotion are coming out to much boom cold and calculated; and the only time we see him not use this protection is when it comes to Hanashi because even if he is so young Y/N feel almost like a parent to him, almost like a soulmate when it comes to his connection.

So Tenko and Hanashi are both different aspects of Y/Ns life, one makes him feel worthy of love, makes him feel like he can be something good reminding him that he can be good and how he saved Hanashi from his abusive father, while Tenko embodies the world and kind of hero society he shows Y/N's hatred, the feeling of not being love and the idea that he was born bad or a monster. So in his life, there is this constant battle between being someone good or becoming the thing many people say he is.
