When trust is shattered, wounds run deep,
A heart betrayed, it's hard to sleep.
But know your worth, rise above the pain,
For in time, you'll find love again.

As she got home, she immediately went to George's room, eager to spend some time with him.

"Hi, George." She greeted him as she sat on his thighs in the bed, straddling him as she smiled.

"Amy!" He answered, being cut off by her kisses.

Once she noticed the boy wasn't kissing her back, she pulled back and cupped his face a slight smile on her face. "What's wrong?" The boy seemed to choke up slightly, not kissing her back. Amory's face was now completely serious. "George, what is it? Talk to me."

"I... Amy, I'm so sorry. I love you, you know that." The boy muttered as Amory's brows furrowed in worry.

"Yeah, I love you too. What's wrong? You're making me nervous." She said, her face scrunched up in worry.

"Oh, God, I'm so sorry, Amy. I was drunk and I didn't mean to but I... I kissed Meredith." At that, the girl gulped and sat on the bed beside the boy, instead of on his legs.

"You... I'm sorry, you what?" She asked, choking up slightly.

The room was silent as the couple now sat on opposite sides of the bed, the rain drizzling outside of the bedroom window.

"I..." Amory's voice cracked as she cleared her voice before she began again. "I need you to tell me what happened."

"Amy... I told you, we kissed." He spoke, his voice nearly as broken as the girl's.

"I... I need to know exactly how it happened."

The boy cleared his throat before starting to explain. "We we drunk. We were both drunk. I don't... I don't know exactly what happened, or how, but we started... we started getting close to each other, and then... we kissed."

A tear fell down Amory's face and she rushed to wipe it, attempting to keep her composure. "Who kissed who?"

"Amy, please, does it really matter?" The boy begged.

"Yes." She raised her voice to an almost yell as she got up and he did the same, both standing on opposite sides of the bed. "Yes, it does matter, George. It matters because...3 A couple of tears now rolled down her face as she tried to keep her voice steady. "It matters because I need to understand this, okay? I need to understand what happened."

"I... Amy, I am so sorry... I... I did. I kissed her." He admitted as he started crying to himself.

"Great. Just... great." She sighed. "And then what?"

"The last I wanted was to hurt you, Amy... I am—"

The girl raised her hand as if to interrupt him. "Don't, George, don't make this any harder." She swallowed hard before speaking again. "And then what?"

"I..." George let another tear fall. "Meredith broke it off. She didn't kiss me back." He admitted, filled with regret and guilt.

Amory cried now openly, taking deep calming breaths. "Would you have stopped if she hadn't? Or would you... would you have...?" She couldn't bring herself to say the words, a knot forming in her throat.

"Amy, I..."

"Please, George. Please, I need you to be honest with me." She pleaded.

"I don't think... No, I don't think I would have stopped." Amory sat back on the bed, burying her head in her hands, crying silently as the rain was the only sound in the room.
