Band-aid cover the bullet hole, a painful disguise,
But healing takes time, as wounds start to rise.
Through scars and struggles, you'll find strength anew,
And emerge stronger, with resilience shining through."What happened to George's hair? Is he having a nervous breakdown?" Izzie hurriedly asked. George was walking beside Bailey as they walked up the stairs. Cristina, Meredith, Izzie, and Amory were lagging behind. George had a new haircut. It was choppy in places like he had cut it on a whim, but it was a bit shorter.
"Burke says he's got 'issues".' Cristina answered. George is temporarily crashing on the couple's couch. "Uh, you should see them together. They're, like, doing things, like running... and cooking, and talking. They're, like, bonding."
"And you're afraid that Burke will realize he makes a better girlfriend than you?" Izzie teased and Amory let out a chuckle. She was still hurt from what happened but she wasn't one to let it ruin her conversations with her friends or her mood.
"You know guys, you two, just talk to him," Cristina said turning to Amory and Meredith, to which they both give her a look, not feeling like talking.
"Things can't stay like this. They suck like this." Izzie tried to motivate. They were now walking down the hallway and Alex had run to join them.
"What's up with O'Malley's hai? He looks like a hobbit." Alex joked. Amory cracked a small smile and Alex felt pride swell in his chest. Alex had been looking after her when they were in the hospital, trying to make her laugh and just distract her from what happened. Alex had become like a brother to her.

After the interns had rounded on Denny Duquette that morning, both Izzie and Alex volunteered to stay on Denny's case. The four remaining interns resumed their rounds and soon split away to different parts of the hospital.
"Amory had followed Bailey as they made their way to the ER. Tuck was crying loudly in Bailey's arms when they went out to the ambulance bay, and the siren from the ambulance didn't help. Amory went on to help the paramedic wheel out the patient on the gurney.
"What do we got?"
"Tachycardic in the 140s. Systolic is in the 60s. Last was 72 over 40." As the paramedic wheeled the man into the hospital, Tuck started to cry even louder. "Bailey walked around the ambulance to ask another paramedic to shut off the siren.
"Here, take him," Bailey stated right as Amory was about to walk past her. "I want you to watch him for me."
"But... I have patients to see. I can't do that while I have Tuck."
"Madden, I have a patient! I need to operate on the patient right now! Take him!" Bailey ordered Amory as she begins to give her the sac with the stuff she needs for the baby.
