In the lobby, Addison was watching Derek and Burke attempt to impress the Chief, while she sat back with a smug look on her face.

"Aren't you gonna get in there?" Mark asked, coming up from behind her. "You want to Chief, you gotta fight with the big boys."

Addison shook her head. "You know, Amy gave me some advice last night. Fight like a girl, and let them kill each other. Then I'll be the only one left standing."

Mark scoffed. "And then there's me. There you go, underestimating me again."

"Oh, it's no that I underestimate you, it's just that I don't think about you. At all."

"Well, you should." He smirked, walking over to the three men. "I was heading down to the clinic. It's opening today, and I thought it might be nice to show Dr. Bailey a little support."

"Very thoughtful, Dr. Sloan. I think I'll join you." Webber said. "Gentlemen, if you'll excuse me."

"Certainly." Derek gritted through his teeth. As Mark passed him, he lowered his voice to a whisper. "Nicely done."

Mark smile. "Mhm."

Dr. Bailey threw open the doors of the new Free Clinic, named after Denny Duquette, with a proud smile. She turned to the four interns behind her, nodding. "Welcome to the Denny Duquette Memorial Clinic. Barring any surgical emergencies, you will be working here today."

Amory smiled, looking around. Her smile faded slightly when she noticed it was empty, Cristina noticing it too. "Working on what, exactly?" The brunette asked.

"Right now." Bailey looked at Cristina with a slight glare before motioning to Olivia, who was preparing a cart of equipment. "Olivia will be familiarizing you with the protocol of the flu vaccine."

Amory nodded as Izzie turned around to find Alex looking at some of the equipment. "Oh! No, no, no. Don't – don't touch that. That was... 79 dollars."

Cristina shared a look with Amory and Alex, her voice pained. "Oh, my God. I have got to get out of here. Burke has a bloodless pulmonary valve transplant patient flying in from Denver tomorrow I should be preparing."

"Oh, you're not scrubbing in on that," Amory told her.

"And why not?" Cristina sassed.

"Cause I am," Alex told her, smiling.

Cristina looked like someone had just told her that her dog got run over, her voice shaky and shocked. "He picked you?"

Amory condescendingly patted her on the shoulder. "I'll be okay, Cristina." Olivia started instructing them on the flu vaccine, none of them really paying attention when the doors opened. Mark and the Chief walked in, Izzie visibly deflating.
