The name of the game, a mystery untold,
It's the thrill of life, and adventure to behold.
With each twist and turn, we chase our dreams,
In this grand journey, nothing is as it seems."Who doesn't know Madonna?" Cristina asked, clearly frustrated. Amory looked up from her book to see that the brunette was still pacing. Meredith, Cristina, Izzie, and Amory had been in the gallery for a while at this moment and Cristina was still ranting about the fact that she lost a game night with George and Callie. They had lost because Burke hadn't known who Madonna was.
"Sore loser." Izzie coughed under her breath, which made Cristina glare at her.
"I am not a sore loser. You know, and so what if I am? See, the whole point of games is that there's a winner, a first place. You want a second-best surgeon operating on you? No. You want the very best. And second best is mediocre. And to settle for mediocrity is — is... it's frankly, you know, a sign of self-loathing and substandard work ethics. I've got to get George out of my apartment."
Cristina sat down next to Meredith, who was focused on her knitting. She was knitting because she took a vow of celibacy, together with Izzie, and she found that knitting was a good way to pass time and good for surgical dexterity. "You know, you could let him kiss you but then cut it off, so he feels bad about ruining a relationship, but apparently, it works," Meredith said, making Amory shift a little in her seat. "Sorry, Amy." Amory was dealing as well as she could, but hearing it being said so bluntly still hurts.
"Would you just keep knitting? Kick him out so that he can come back home to us." Izzie advised Cristina, looking up from her knitting to glare at the back of Meredith's head. She was a bit mad at Meredith. Amory thought it was unfair because George was the one who did it. Meredith had stopped before more could happen, George should be getting the angry comments. But George is also Izzie's person, so, of course, she will root for George in the end. But when it comes down to Amory or George, she stays true to her word and is on Amory's side.
"No, I—I can't kick him out. you know, he's Burke's puppy. It's gotta be Burke's idea. I just gotta figure out a way to make him do it."
"You know, Cristina?" Amory closed her book and turned to look at the brunette. "Just grow a pair and pack all of George's things and throw them out in the hall and change the locks. It's not that hard." Everyone had looked at her like she had grown two heads.
"It's actually a very intriguing idea, thanks Amy."

"Cristina told me that George had a date with Ortho chick," Izzie informed Amory. They were both standing at the nurses' station. "Games night. She didn't even take him home afterward. She hinted that she wanted to and then said the couldn't. That's weird, right?"
"Izzie, I love you, and everything. But it's not really any of my business. Am I friends with him? Yes. Do I want to hear about his love life? Not right now." Amory gently said, but Izzie didn't seem to hear her.
"You think Ortho chick is hiding something? She could be hiding something." Izzie insisted.
"Stevens." Callie's voice, the 'Ortho chick' Izzie was talking about, came from behind them. "Take this." She tossed something to Izzie when they both turned around. "You two are with me now. George says you don't appreciate Ortho. I'm going to change your mind."
"You won't change mine." Amory chirped. At Callie's questioning look, she elaborated. "It's nothing personal. It just doesn't speak to me like the other specialties do." She is cool with Callie. They had called a couple of times and are friendly with each other.

"Sorry, Dr. Torres, as much fun as it was to set that guy's hip and stuff, Ortho still isn't for me," Amory told her outside the exam room.
Callie rolled her eyes. She had known that Amory wouldn't change her mind. "I know, but you still did your best. So, I have to say, even though you don't like it you are still trying the best for your patient. That's what really matters. Stevens, go get that hip X-rayed as I said." Callie ordered in a cold tone. It is very obvious that Callie is not a fan of Izzie Stevens.
"Fine," Izzie grumbled.

Amory flew into the exam room and shattered the tense silence between Callie and Izzie. "I need some bones to break." She loudly announced. Today was her breaking point, she had hit rock bottom. She felt like doing nothing and was mad at herself for feeling like this so Amory thought maybe breaking something will help me get my emotions out.
"What?" Callie asked her with a confused expression.
"Some bones to break, something to smash. Dr. Torres, please, can you help me with that?"
Callie blinked. She had no idea what had happened in the time that Amory had been gone. "Um, you can clean up this cast crap if you want." She told the distraught woman and ignored the glare Izzie sent her.
"Amy." Izzie started. "What happened? Do you need to talk? Come on, let's have a chat."
"Thank you, Callie," Amory told the dark-haired woman and grabbed a mallet. "I don't want to talk, Izzie. I want to break something and if you don't move, it'll be you."
Callie reached out and pulled Izzie away from Amory. "Sometimes, Stevens, a person just needs to let the anger out. You can bug her when she's done."
"What would you know about Amory?" Izzie snarled. "She's not violent. She needs to talk not hit."
"Everyone has their breaking point." Callie rolled her eyes. "Looks like she's hit hers." The two women watched in silence as Amory pounded at the cast with the malled, grunting, and muttering with every hit. "What's she saying?"
"I have no idea," Izzie answered. She looked away from her friend brutally murdering a cast and stared at the other woman. "So... George, he's really your type, huh?"
Callie scoffed and rolled her eyes. She shook her head. "You don't see him." She accused. "You just don't see him. He's just—he's just George to you. he's just... O'Malley. he's your roommate." Izzie rolled her eyes and Callie nodded. "He makes my world stop. George O'Malley is sweet and kind and smart and strong. And he makes my world stop. So, you." She frowned. "You shut up about him."
The mallet dropped from Amory's fingers and onto the floor before Izzie could think of anything to say. Amory put her hands on her hips and panted for breath. Callie stood up and walked over to her.
She put one hand on Amory's shoulder and patted. "Feel better?" Amory nodded. "I'll send someone in to help you clean up." Callie left the room after that.
"Holy crap." Izzie gasped. "George is her McDreamy."
"He used to be mine, I get it." Amory let out quietly.
