"I think we should go to hospital," he said, still holding on. "NO!" I scared him with my loud scream. "Karthik is our priority. Don't mind me. I'm fine," I said. Though he was not convinced, he let me do my thing as he knows how stubborn I am.

"Let me at least do the first aid," he said, leading me to another corner of the room. Holding onto that cloth, I followed him without arguing as it's of no use.

Before he started treating my wound, he placed the watch on the table beside me. "Aditya's gonna kill me if he learns that I hurt you". I was not sure how to respond to that. "Will you save me from him?" he asked.

"Are you being sarcastic or…"

He scoffed. "My life has become a joke to that point where I am not able to distinguish what is serious and what isn't".

He is hurt! This guy is hurt and it is way too obvious.

For a while it was silent and I have never been this grateful to Gautham for keeping it silent.

He was giving too much attention to that injury. I was staring at him when he was doing the not so important work. "Can I ask you something?" I broke the wall of silence.

"Nope!" The denial was clear.

"What if some girl loves you the same way you love me?" I proceeded despite his denial.

He looked at me in disgust putting a halt to his work. "Have you ever loved me even if I loved you more than Aditya could ever do?" He asked.

Another question as an answer to one question is something that really pisses me off. "When you yourself were so blinded by Aditya's love that you couldn't see mine, how do you think I will be able to see someone else's love?" After a pause, "We are in the same shoes, Anu. It is just that you're lucky for the reciprocation!" he concluded.

"But – "

"This will be an off limit subject from now on," he said, avoiding eye contact.

I honored his boundaries and understood where I stood.

After a while, I looked around and took the watch he placed on the table. "Who is dying to snap their fingers?" I pretended as we were part of some Marvel film.

He smiled fondly and was focused on my injury. "Let me remind you again. There are people living for you in this world. So, please don't get hurt!"

"It was you who did that," I referred to the injury he caused.

He avoided the talk as he knew it was him. Once he was done, we moved towards his computer table. There was only one clean chair and he took it as he must work on the technical stuff. With no other option, I sat on his clothes.

Looking over his shoulder, "You are sitting on my clothes," he said.

"That sounds like a you problem," I expressed how much I hate untidy stuff. After setting up the network, I pressed the SOS button and the location was sent to three places. One was to Priya's house, second was to some unknown place and the other was to Aditya's house.

Without even analyzing the other locations, "See… I told you. We can't trust Aditya. Karthik is definitely here," Gautham said when he saw Aditya's place on the list.

With guilt, "It's my watch," I said.

"WHAT?!"

"My watch is at his place," I said when he was stabbing me with those sharp eyes. Nodding his head in disbelief, he sighed heavily. While taking a look at other locations, "Don't you think you are staying too much at his house?" he whined.

"You stayed more than that in my house. That doesn't mean we did something, right," I mumbled.

He swiftly turned his and looked at me. I swear, that was really intimidating.

Getting back to his work, "I regret doing nothing!" he whispered loud enough for me to hear.

"What?" I asked innocently as if I didn't hear it.

"I should have at least given you some sleeping pills and should've done something so that you won't leave me," I finally got to witness his possessive side. I smiled a little.

It was silent for a while as he was busy tracking Karthik down. It's not Adi's house and not Priya's house. So, he zoomed into the third location.

The name itself sent chills down our spine. We looked at each other in shock. My nostrils flared and blood rushed at a quick pace.

I clenched my jaw and walked out to the hall room while Gautham followed me. I was searching for my keys and Gautham was trying to stop me.

"Anu…" he called and I ignored. He called me again and I ignored him again.l

I finally found the keys but he grabbed it before I did.

"Give me," I said and of course, he refused.

"GIVE IT TO ME!' I yelled. He still refused as he was genuinely worried. "You are not going there," he said. "At least not at this time.

I wouldn't have been this desperate had it been some other place. That watch being exactly at the graveyard where we carried out Karthik's ritual is some suspicious shit. It is crystal clear that it is a trap as well as he is alive.

Roshini is not human enough to kill my loved ones just like that. The psycho living in her would definitely neither allow Karthik to die that easily nor me to get over it that easily.
