After another week of spending my healing time in hospital, I got discharged when I absolutely hated the idea. It was good over there. People took care of me, people spent quality time with me… that whole ten days was a blessing.
But the best part of coming back home is getting to see Vikram and Karthik. The moment I stepped into my house, I either expected Karthik or Vikram to run into my arms but I was totally wrong.
Rajesh pushed them and hugged me. Understandable. His brother is back, after all and he thinks it's because of me.
For almost ten minutes, we all stood near the door. They asked how I am and I asked them how they are.
They could have paid a visit when I was in hospital but I was the one who refused them. We all went in and the breakfast was already ready. I am sick and I can't cook. So, back to Sambar and Idli.
I had a healthy breakfast but not so tasty breakfast.
Me, Karthik, and Priya went to my bedroom. Finally, we are together. I rested on the bed leaning back to the headrest and Vikram slept by my side while Karthik and Priya sat opposite to me.
"So… How's life?" I addressed them commonly.
"Thanks to you! I owe you this life," Karthik was relieved by the fact that everything came back to normal
"Don't say things like that. I myself owe my life to some other guy," I said.
"The doctor?" Priya asked.
"You know him?"
"No, I don't. I just saw him once when I came to meet Gautham sir," she said.
Nodding my head, "Ohhhh!" I exclaimed. "But he is really handsome!"
"He is!" she exclaimed and an immediate jealous stare was given by Karthik. Noticing that, "I didn't mean it that way," she defended herself.
"You surely didn't!" his sulking face said it all.
"If you are going to keep it this way, you are gonna lose her," I advised Karthik to confess his hidden love that he is not aware of. "Just confess before it gets too late".
"He already did," she said and "I already did," he said at the same time.
I was surprised at their declaration. Finally, the couple I was rooting for is together! I have never been this happy. Not even when I saw Aditya shirtless. "Congratulations!" I greeted them. "Was it just a confession or… something more than that".
Priya was too excited to talk about this. "I mean, I wish it was more than a confession," she complained.
"It's better to take things slow," he had the same mindset as mine. In no time I boarded the train of my memories with Aditya. I went back to the time when we rushed doing some silly stuff yet stopped as we wanted to take things slowly. My smile slowly faded away at the thought of Aditya.
Out of nowhere, Gautham came in. "You have a visitor and I want you to behave properly," he said in a rush. I was confused by his explanation. While cleaning the chair by my side, "Listen, DON'T. BE. RUDE. TO. HIM," he warned me, pointing his index finger.
When I was so close to asking who it was, my door opened slowly and I found Aditya holding a basket of fruits in one hand and a bunch of flowers in another one.
Orchids! These little things make me reconsider if it's right for me to kick him out of my life.
Damn! 100 years to this guy! I was just thinking about him and here he is.
