Jay's 16

Chapter 1

In the bunker

Jay's POV

Jay: I'm just trying to understand why it's a big deal.

Sam: You stole something, Jay. And you don't even understand why that's wrong. We don't steal.

Jay: What if we were poor, and I was trying to steal food? Would we steal then?

He's not very amused by that, probably because we actually had to steal food, at one point. But that actually makes my point stand. We don't steal NOW, but we did steal THEN. So, it's not ok NOW, but it was ok THEN?

Sam: We did steal food, at one point. Remember? Dean would barely eat, so that we could. And now you're using that as an example of stealing being ok?

Dean: And you didn't even steal food. He says as he walks in to the living room You stole a pack of cigarettes.

He hasn't been happy with me since he found out. I went to the gas station after school to get a pack of "Maverick Menthols". And by "get", I mean "sneak behind the counter when nobody was looking, and get them myself". It's really not that big of a deal, but the guys think otherwise. Especially Dean.

Jay: It's not food. But I still don't see the big deal. You guys have stolen stuff before. Way bigger things than a pack of cigarettes.

They're also on the run from the fucking FBI, so that might not be a good thing.

Dean: And we stay in an underground bunker, because we stole a lot of shit, and now we're running from the FBI. See the problem now?

Jay: No. That cashier probably didn't even notice. And nobody saw me, so nobody's gonna call the cops or anything. You guys are making a big deal out of nothing.

Sam: "out of nothing"? Jayden, you're 16 years old, and you don't understand why stealing isn't ok? This isn't "nothing". This is theft.

Dean: And it's not ok. You don't go into stores and take stuff, just because nobody was watching you. What are you, 5? Do we need to watch you, like a 5 year old, so that you don't steal?

Jay: Why's it even matter? It's not like you're gonna smoke them.

Dean: Well neither are you.

Jay: And why the fuck not?

Dean: Because I'm taking them, and I'm gonna dispose of them. You don't get to steal, and then use the thing you stole.

They had already taken the pack of cigarettes away from me. Sam's been holding them, and I've been trying to figure out a way to get them back.

Sam: Now let's talk about you planning on smoking.

Dean: He doesn't even understand why stealing isn't ok. You think he's gonna understand smoking?

Sam: He needs to understand that neither of them are ok.

Jay: He'd appreciate not being talked about, like he's not in the room.
