In the bunker

Jay's POV

Sam and I got back to the bunker, a few hours ago, and now I'm being forced to do Friday's homework. I didn't do the homework on Friday, because I didn't wanna do it at all. What makes them think that I wanna do it, two days later? I was having an amazing time, fishing and jumping in water. But now that's over and I have to do this shit. I mean, the weekend wasn't really as fun as it could've been, because Sam took me there to lecture me, in private. He disguised his plan as a fun weekend get away. And on top of that, I'm being forced to do my homework.

Jay: This is bullshit.

Claire: Right? Nobody wants to waste their Sunday afternoon on homework.

Jay: Do you think they'd believe us, if we just said we finished it?

Claire: After everything we've been doing lately? Absolutely not. They'd definitely make us show them that it's actually done. And Sam would wanna make sure that it's done right, because he's a fucking nerd, and just done isn't enough for him.

Jay: There's a computer right there. Let's just Google the answers. That way, it'll get done right, and we can be done with this faster.

The guys said that we can't use our phones. They didn't say that we couldn't use a computer. Actually, they said "no electronics", but that's not important. This is for our education, so it's fine. We start using the computer, and eventually, Dean walks in.

Dean: Didn't I say "no electronics"?

Jay: We're still doing homework, so we're not technically doing anything wrong.

Dean: You have a textbook right next to you, in your book bag. You don't need the computer. You need to open up that book, and find the answers that way.

Claire: You know, technology exists to help us. So if we can't use it, then why do we have a computer?

Dean: For when Sam and I do research on cases, or for when you two aren't grounded. If you weren't grounded, I'd be more than happy to let you use that computer. But you're still grounded, so no computers for you.

He closes the computer, gaining an annoyed sigh from me and Claire. This means that now we have to do homework using the text book. And that's gonna take forever. I guarantee that half of the answers aren't even gonna be in there. We're gonna spend fucking forever looking through the text book, just to find out that the answers we're looking for aren't even in there.

Dean: I wasn't kidding with this grounding stuff. When you're grounded, you don't get to use your privileges.

Claire: Dude, it's 2023. Technology isn't "privileges". It's human rights.
