At school

Jay's POV

Claire: I hate it here.

Jay: Yeah. Me too.

We just got to school, and we tried to give the guys any reason possible to not bring us here. But they have this thing, where they don't let us stay home unless we're sick or dying. And neither of us are sick or dying, so we're stuck here until one us of gets sick, or dies.

Jay: You have first hour with me, though. So you won't get that bored.

Claire: But what if Mrs. Harris sends you to the principal again?

Jay: I just won't go. She can demand me to go, all she wants to. But she can't actually make me do anything. She's like 85.

Claire: You're bullying an 85 year old woman. You should be ashamed. She says with a laugh.

Jay: She always starts it with me, though. If she'd leave me alone, then we wouldn't have any problems. But she likes to fight.

Claire: So do you.

We both laugh, and continue walking to class. I just hope that Mrs. Harris isn't on her bullshit today. Maybe today, I can have one day of peace, in her class.

Elijah: Sup, Bitch. He says to me, as he walks past me.

What the fuck was that about?

Jay: Excuse me?

He stops walking and faces me and Claire.

Elijah: You heard me.

Jay: What's your problem? I didn't do anything.

Elijah: You haven't done her yet, but if you even think about it, I'll beat the shit out of you.

Claire: You might wanna watch your fucking mouth.

Jay: Hold up.

Claire: Are you kidding me? He's threatening you, and you're-

Jay: Just hold up a second. Is this about Ellie?

Elijah: Who else would it be about? You think you can be all flirty with my cousin, and I'm just not gonna find out?

Jay: I didn't really give a damn who found out. It's really none of your damn business.

Elijah: She's my cousin, so it's my business. You're either gonna stay away from her, or you're gonna get the worst ass beating of your life.

Does he honestly think that it's a good idea to threaten somebody that's bigger than him?

Jay: I'll do what I want with her, and you're gonna stay in your own down business.

Elijah: How about I knock you out, right here? He asks as he gets really close to me.

Jay: You can try. But if you lift a finger at me, I'm gonna have you on the ground in a matter of seconds. So either back the fuck up, or get knocked the fuck out. Your pick. But I'm late to class. So choose quickly, please.
