Chapter 32

In the bunker

Sam's POV

I get why the kids are grounded, but did Dean really have to go with six months? Six? I've gotta keep three teenagers occupied without their electronics, for six months? Are you serious? And if they're not occupied, they wanna argue with everybody. Kids are hard, and Dean's not going anywhere with lessening the grounding time.

Jay: I'm just saying that I'm bored, and I want you to know because Dean's in a mood.

Sam: Dean's in a mood because the three of you keep bugging him about lifting your groundings.

Claire: We wouldn't have to keep bugging him, if he'd just do it already.

Krissy: Yeah. He said he'd think about it. How long does it take him to think about stuff like this?

Jay: Instead of actually thinking about it, he's either working on the car, or just avoiding the subject of our groundings.

Claire: Why can't you just lift it? Why does it have to be Dean?

Sam: Because, since he's the oldest, he's kinda given himself the parent role. Which makes me the older brother/other parent that nobody really has to listen to.

I also just don't feel like arguing with Dean. I know that it would turn into an argument, because he craves power, and I'm not in the mood to argue with him.

Krissy: So...we don't have to listen to you...?

How did I know that that was gonna be the only thing that any of them heard me say?

Sam: You do have to listen to me. It's just that Dean usually gets the final say in things. So I can't just unground you, without talking to him, first.

Jay: So go do that. Go talk to him, instead of letting us literally die of boredom.

I might as well. They're not gonna leave me alone about being ungrounded, until they're ungrounded. And again, I'm not doing this for six months. Hell no. Absolutely not.

Sam: Fine. You guys stay here. I'll be back. I'm not sure how long I'll be, so get comfortable.

They all roll their eyes, and I leave the room to go find Dean. I'm not even sure where he is, but I know that he's definitely somewhere in the bunker. I'm gonna check his room first, because that's the last place that I remember him being. Once to his room, I find him doing something in his closet.

Sam: Hey, we gotta talk.

Dean: Do you ever knock?

The door was wide opened. Why the fuck would I knock on an opened door?
