Chapter 24

*Short Chapter*

A week later, Sunday, 4:30 pm

In the bunker

Claire's POV

Claire: Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaase?

I want my phone back, and if being annoying is the way to get it back, then I'm gonna annoy the shit out of Dean until he gives it back. Being annoying usually works with him. He's the "My kid is being annoying, so I'll give them this electronic device" parent. And I love that about him.

Dean: No, Claire.

Claire: Why not? That works every other time.

Dean: Well every other time, you're not grounded for leaving the state. So this time, the answer's gonna stay a no.

Claire: Dean-

Dean: Don't you have something productive to be doing? Like, literally anything else?

Claire: If I had anything else to be doing, why would I be standing here, bothering you?

Dean: You don't have anything to study, clean, or anything else?

Claire: I just said no.

Dean: What are Krissy and Jay doing? You can't go bug them?

Claire: Jay's asleep, and Krissy's in the shower. So no. I can't go bug them.

Dean: Well then go bug Sam.

Claire: I already tried. He said he wasn't in the mood.

Dean: And you thought that I'd be in the mood?

No. I just figured that if Sam didn't wanna be bothered, I'd just settle for bothering you. I knew you wouldn't be in the mood. I just didn't really give a shit.

Claire: No. I just didn't have anything else to do.

Dean: Can't you come up with a new hobby? Not everything has to revolve around a cell phone. He says, as he's on his fucking cell phone.

Claire: Then why are you on yours?

Dean: Because I'm an adult, and I didn't leave the state to go party with a bunch of strangers.

They weren't ALL strangers. I knew like, 9 of them.

Claire: They weren't all strangers-

Dean: That doesn't matter. You still left the state to go somewhere that you weren't supposed to be, to do something that you weren't supposed to be doing. So no phone for you.

Claire: It was just a party. You're honestly just being dramatic because you're getting old and you don't know how to party anymore. Because you're old.

Dean: Are you gonna come for my age, every time you get mad at me?

Obviously. How could I make it more obvious? I thought it was already obvious enough, but this old man can't see the obviousness. Because he's old.
