DAMON

I walk into Jaxon's house, hearing the girls giggling and the guys giving gifts to Avery. We didn't have time to give her gifts because we were busy. Stella, Alessio, and Grayson attended a gala. Jaxon and I were both busy.

"Finally, the scowler has arrived." Grayson shook my hand. I scowled at him and handed Avery her gift. I knew what everyone got her. Grayson and I decided to get her something similar. He got her some expensive paint and a painting board while I got her two paintings. A Vincent van Gogh

Painting and a Taylor Swift painting that I had to pay thousands for.

"This is huge." She peered up at me and smiled, opening her gift. She opened the wrap around the first board, I'm assuming that's the Vincent van Gogh painting.

Her eyes stared at the painting and Marcella was the first one to realize what painting is that. "Holy, that's the Vincent van Gogh painting! It's expensive. It's called La Nuit étoilée." Marcella said.

"I knew I recognized it." Lily exclaimed.

"Great, my gifts can't be the best anymore because of these guys! Like Jaxon got her a journal. Alessio got her books, and now Damon got her paintings? I hate my gifts! I need to find better gifts." Stella whined pointing at the guys and me.

"Relax, I love all of your gifts. Thank you, Damon. This is really nice." Avery grinned opening the second painting. The Taylor one made her smile wider. "My mother!" She hugged the painting.

"Thank god only Stella's birthday is left, I hate buying gifts." Jaxon took a seat beside Liliana, placing his hand on her thigh. I needed to talk to Marcella, I'm absolutely sick of the distance between us.

"Wonderland is a good song! It's one of the best by Taylor." Liliana and Stella argued.

"No! Her voice makes it better, and I love Taylor. But the lyric 'Didn't they tell us don't rush into things' is not the best line in it. The lyric 'Whispers turned into talking, and talking turned to screams is the only line I stand by." Stella crossed her arms at Liliana.

"No, to you both. 'I reached to you but you were gone, I knew I had to go back home' is the best line in it." Marcella complained to both of her friends.

I watched in amusement, liking her feisty voice.

"Guys, how about we agree that 'All too well' is good, or 'Cardigan'. I know it's famous but hear me out. 'You drew stars around my scars, but now I'm bleeding'—or—'And when I felt like I was an old cardigan, under someone's bed'—its beautiful lyrics." Avery shut them off.

"Liliana can relate to you're on your own kid because of the—I gave my blood, sweat, and tears for this. She does everything for academic validation. Life isn't about studying only, it's to live." Stella muttered.

Liliana glared. "You're lucky you have been smart in your blood, unlike you, I have to stay up all night studying because I'm not naturally smart."

"You're smart." Jaxon murmured to her, pulling her head on his shoulder.

"You're on your own kid, you always have been for you Stella. You always have been alone and you don't accept love from anyone." Liliana shrugged.

Stella gasped dramatically. They always joked around with each other, it was always personal. So I know Stella didn't get hurt by Liliana.

"Stop this Taylor Swift talk." Grayson said annoyed. Alessio nodded in agreement.

"Well, us girls are going upstairs. Since ever you both started dating, we haven't got to spend time with each other." Marcella complained.
