𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬. She supposed she'd gotten used to the boys' antics, strange as they were. George was a little socially awkward and Lockwood had been very charming. He replaced her flowers every two weeks with something different. Mrs Wick had made several visits to the Company despite being reassured every time that it was just her neighbour's cat, George was at his wits end with it.
She had however also started to understand why George had written so many insults directed at Lockwood on the table. He could be a right pretentious prick sometimes with an ego so big sometimes Carolynne tended to disappear into her room for hours or go out for a walk.
Carolynne had also learnt how much of a nuisance Lockwood was when it came to not letting George research their cases - it was gnawing away at her at how close they were constantly getting close to being killed. He was reckless and it was dangerous - she didn't know how long she would be able to take with him. She'd come to terms with her feelings towards him a little while ago which also meant she'd given into the fight of trying to shake them.
The case tonight was a perfect example of this instance. They had a call for the case early this afternoon and Lockwood jumped at the chance, George wasn't too pleased as he had no time to research anything. Because of this they had no idea how much of a cluster case it was, Lockwood was almost touched three times trying to save Carolynne who was almost touched twice.
