𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝟑𝟓 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐰, was something Carolynne would describe to belong in a classical romance novel. It had a stoned paved patio with plot pots near the door before it switched to grass that was lined with soil that contained bushes of lavender, daisies and other small colourful flowers. In the back stood a tall willow tree and hidden in stems was a small garden table and chair set for four.
Lockwood was sat in one of the the green iron chair with his legs on the table and purple waterproof cushion against his back, he was reading one of his magazines while taking sneaky glaces at Carolynne. She was sitting on the grass near his chair with her back against the trunk of the tree, book in her hands - 'the woman in white' to be exact.
"Oh my God!" Carolynne suddenly said causing Lockwood to jump, "what?"
Lockwood chuckled, "are you alright there?"
"What a total plot twist!" Carolynne's mouth was hanging low in shock as she kept reading the page.
"Care to fill me in here?"
"Okay, so..." Carolynne started as she put the book mark in the page and rested it on her legs. "There was this character called Laura that everyone thought had died in the Count's house. But, it turns out it wasn't Laura who died but actually her sister Anne. The Count had switched the bodies! Meaning Laura ended up being shipped off to Anne's former Asylum where she's been drugged!"
