𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤, playing a custom made record of some of her parents favourite songs whilst she refilled through drawers and and folders of old paperwork."Words like violence, break the silence. Come crashing in, into my little world."
Carolynne remembered her parents singing this song to her before bed, she smiled at the memory as she stood up to turn it up. Mere moments later Lockwood walked in and grasped her hand, spinning her under his arm before pulling towards his chest.
"Dance with me?" He asked, tilting his head.
"Can't you understand? Oh, my little girl."
Carolynne nodded and let Lockwood glide his hands to her waist whilst hers rested on his shoulder, often stroking his neck with her thumb.
"All I ever wanted, all I ever needed, is here in my arms." Lockwood whispered in her ear in time with the song.
Carolynne's face lit up - completely missing what Lockwood had actually said, "you know the song?"
He reached for her hand and spun her away from him before pulling her back, her back pressed against his chest. "Of course I do."
"My parents used to sing it to me before I went to bed," Carolynne told him fondly as she turned to face him again.
