𝐔𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞, DEPRAC was sworming the cemetery and as the agents came stumbling out the chapel they came rushing over. Given the fact that Carolynne was on the brink of death, Lockwood was using all the strength he had left to remain with her and fight to get her treated first before anyone touched him. Barnes had to literally handcuff his good arm to the van to keep him from jumping up to see Carolynne on the bed. After a while he gave up the fight as as adrenaline ran out, this gave Barnes the perfect opportunity to interrogate him whilst he was being seen to.

When Carolynne came round Lockwood was freed from the van and he moved along slightly so that Carolynne could slowly lower herself to sit on the van with him on his good side. He'd had the bullet taken out of his wound and a bandage over it as well as a sling to support his arm.

Still feeling groggy, she rested her head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around her shoulders as he kissed her head gently. "You feeling okay?" Lockwood asked, giving her arm a squeeze.

Carolynne hummed, not opening her eyes, and mumbled, "just tired."

"We can go to bed when we get home," Lockwood pressed his lips to the top of her head again and rested his cheek there, "yeah?"

Carolynne hummed.

"Don't fall asleep on me Care."

"You've never stopped me before," the girl mumbled but didn't open her eyes.
