𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐮𝐩 to the Ward that Carolynne was in. Lucy, Holly and George all hung back at the chairs whilst Lockwood approached the nurse's station.
"Hiya, I'm Carolynne Lynch's next of kin." His face morphed into a reflex smile, polite, "I've been told someone needed to speak to me."
The nurse looked through the computer, "what's your name and relationship to Carolynne?"
"Anthony Lockwood, I'm her partner."
The nurse nodded, "checks out." She then rose from the chair, "wait here, I'll find her doctor."
Anthony returned back to the others.
"What's going on?" George asked.
"She's gone to find her doctor."
"Mr Lockwood?" A voice called.
Lockwood turned, there was a man clad in blue scrubs and a white coat, he had dark brown hair with a matching beard.
"Yes?" Lockwood asked, he felt nerves bubbling up inside him.
"This way please."
Lockwood nodded at the other three, "I'll come find you." He then turned and followed the doctor further into the Ward.
