Kait, shivering in her bed covers herself in blankets up to her lips as Mat lays next to her. "Mat..." Kait whispers as she then closes her eyes and the shivering begins to worsen. "We need to get her to a doctor!" Mat yelled as Sel passed Kevin his keys and Rei grabbed his keys to the motorcycle. Everyone then puts on a jacket and Mat puts a big purple jacket and blankets on top of Kait while carrying her on his back.

They rush to the hospital as Mat wishes for everyone there to see Kait. "She needs a doctor, she's shivering uncontrollably, I've tried everything and nothing seems to work." Mat told the receptionist at the front desk of the hospital. "Okay, what's her name and is there a way to contact her parent or guardian, we are also going to need some sort of identification from her as well." The receptionist explained. "Her name is Kai..." Mat said but was then interrupted by the receptionist who said that Kait needed to speak for herself. "My name is Kaitlyn Lopez, I don't have any living family, and I do not currently have any sort of identification besides this." Kait said handing over a mall resident card with her hands shaking. "Thank you, here are some hand warmers to lessen the shivering, a doctor will call your name to see what's going on shortly." The receptionist said plopping five handwarmers into Kait's hands. "Thank you." Kait replied with her jacket zipped to her nose and blanket over her head. Kait then waddled and sat down with her whole body shivering as Ruri and Mat sat on either side of her.

"You seemed to have handled the receptionist well." Ruri told Kait "Mhm, I tried to stay calm even though I feel like a fucking iceberg right now." Kait said with her hands clasping onto the hand warmers. "You know you really scared the shit out of us." Rei said, with tears forming below his eyes. "Right, we didnt know what the fuck was going on, and it got us extremely worried." Sel explained "We can't risk losing family around here." Steven and Sofiya added on as everyone then looked at Mat to see what he was going to say but he only hugged Kait tightly, shocked, Kait stood there but then hugged him back, absorbing his heat. "Never fucking do that again, I was scared shitless." Mat whispered into Kaits ear. "I promise." Kait whispered back.

"So like, are we gonna ignore the fact that Kait told the receptionist that she had the same last name as Mat?" Kevin said, causing Mat to turn red. "Well it was really my only option, I mean I can't just make up a fake last name on the spot." Kait explained. "Right...right...totally what I was thinking." Mat said with his face still red. "Kaitlyn, is a Kaitlyn Lopez here?" A doctor asked behind a corner as Kait stood up and looked at Mat causing him to stand up and go with her. They then enter a room with a hospital bed and some hospital equipment, the doctor then gives Kait a check up and finds out something weird about her. Since Kait was originally a wish that Mat made she isn't "human" per say, her body is not structured the same as that of a human and she has more water in her body than any other human.

"She's gonna need to stay for the night, we're gonna try to bring some heaters in here so that her body temperature can go back to normal." The doctor told Mat. "Is it okay if I stay the night here as well, I want to make sure that she's okay." Mat explained. "Sure, you must really care about this girl don't you?" The doctor said as Mat looked at Kait who was sleeping on the hospital bed. "Yeah at least I'd like to think so, thank you doctor." Mat replied as the doctor nodded and exited the room leaving Mat and Kait alone. "I can't let you go, I'll stay here for as long as you need me to, we made a promise to each other that we would wait for each other to get back together, no matter how long it takes, I'll stay here until our break is over, I'll stay in this hospital until I know that you're better, because...I like you Kait." Mat said.

"Huh um I, you...like me?" Kait said while slowly opening her eyes that met up with Mat's. "Oh um... how much did you hear of what I said?" Mat asked. "Everything." Kait said. "Oh, well of course I like you. I'm sorry for being an absolute shithead to you and everyone else, I'm the biggest fucking idiot and I appologize sincerely" Mat said with tears dripping from his eyes, Kait's arms gripped onto Mat's back, Kait giggled as she rested her head on Mat's chest, he plopped his chin on top of her head as the door to the hospital room opened with the doctor and their friends looking blankly at them. "It looks like you've gotten better." The doctor said while smiling, Kait then lifted her head and stood up tall, nodding, as Mat sat beside her with his hands covering his face.

"Let me check your temperature one more time to see if all of you can be on your way." The doctor checked her temperature with a thermometer. "Your temperature is still a bit lower than it should be so make sure you are covered fully when you get outside, you should be fine going back to your home." The doctor explained as Kait stood up and zipped up her jacket. "Let's go." Mat said looking at Rei who nodded and walked towards the exit of the hospital causing everyone else to do the same.

"So you and Mat/Kait seem to be real touchy today." Rei whispered into Mat's ear and Ruri into Kait's. "I was just worried about her." Mat told Rei. "I didn't know if that was going to be the last time I was going to see him, this whole thing has kind of been a blur, I barely remember the party and when I was outside with Mat it felt like I was talking just because I had the opportunity and I regret some things. The only thing I really remember is the sharp pain of something cold all over me and some parts of when in the hospital room, I guess I wanted to be with him because I didn't know if it was going to be my last chance to." Kait explained to Ruri , staring at her hands. "That makes sense, I guess when you like someone to that extent you really just want to spend whatever time you have with them whether it is good or bad because you know that by the end of it all you're still gonna like that person." Ruri added on. "Like you're saying it's just me and you." Ruri and Kait said at the same time as they then looked at each other, hugged, and sped up to get to the car with the cold winter wind blasting into their face.

As Rei and Mat walked there was little to no conversation at all and neither of them addressed it even though they knew that something was off between them, they kept on walking and Rei hopped on his motorcycle without really saying a word to Mat. Mat got into Kevin's car as he and Kait occupied the back seats with Kait laying her head on Mat's shoulder and Mat putting his hand on her head. When they got home everyone was EXTREMELY tired so Kevin dropped the main group at their dorm and dipped as Steven put himself to bed, Sel collapsed onto the couch, Rei wished Sofiya a good night, Ruri said good night to everyone, and Mat and Kait headed into Mat's room. Mat plopped himself onto his bed as Kait followed after while slowly going up to him as Rei just stared at Mat for a couple of seconds and went on his phone, when Kait fell asleep while holding onto Mat's waist Rei opened his mouth.

"Can...can we talk for a sec?" Rei asked. "Yeah sure, what is it?" Mat asked, "I wanna talk about earlier at the hospital." Rei said. "Oh uh right, you felt the awkwardness too?" Mat asked, "Yeah, I don't know what happened to us." Rei asked. "I think I might know, long story short, girls, including the one attached to my hip right now." Mat explained. "How so?" Rei asked, "We've become obsessed over them, these girls are ruining our lives bro but yet again it's nice to keep them around." Mat explained. "Exactly, the thing that annoys me though is the fact that ever since you helped me get with Sofiya it seems that all of our discussions are either about Kait, Sofiya, or both." Rei added on. "Yeah but in a way they kinda brought us together, with them around we get to talk to each other about them, like there's always something to discuss." Mat said. "I guess, I just don't want us to drift apart just because we wanna grow closer with other people." Rei said. "Nah I got you man." Mat said. "Yeah pals before gals" Rei added on. "Yep, bros before hoes." Mat said as they both began to laugh .
