If I Had A Girlfriend

Valentine's Day

Kait wakes up one morning to a shake against her body while she holds her giant pikachu. "Kait wake up it's time for school!" Sofiya said as Kait jolted up from her bed and started to take off her pajamas. "Oh shit!" Kait yelled. Kait bolts out of her room, grabs a waffle from the toaster, and books it to Rei's car where they then drive to school. "Oh, Kait I forgot to mention this to you earlier but today is actually a pretty special day." Rei said. "Wait, another holiday?" Kait asked. "Yep it's called valentines day, where people show affection to the person that they like most, basically the day of love." Rei explained. "Oh that's really cute, so this might be Sel's chance to get a girl." Kait said. "I hope." Sel said with a  frown.

As the group enters the school Kait is immediately approached by a bunch of guys holding flowers, letters, and boxes of sweets wanting a chance to get with her. Kait smiles nervously and accepts all of the gifts whispering at Ruri and Sofiya "Does this normally happen to you guys?"

"Yeah pretty much, the best way to avoid something like that is to be seen around a guy at all times." Ruri explained as Kait looked at Sofiya and Rei who were holding hands and then at Steven who stood beside Ruri. "No it's not like that!" Ruri yelled as Kait giggled and Steven just entered the building waving at Jason who was with his girlfriend. Kait gets to class and takes a seat.

"I wish everyone were in this class. Steven, Sofiya, Rei, and Sel are all in the same class a few hallways down and so is Ruri, I mean Mat is in my class but he's just been talking to Hao, I mean who does Hao think he is, before that day they barely talked to each other and now they cant be seen apart." Kait thought, writing notes from a white board. "I should at least try to focus I mean my whole life doesn't revolve around Mat, or at least not anymore, sure he wished me into existence but now thinking back he was always sort of odd when I was around, he literally screamed at me the day we met, maybe it's better this way." She continued to ponder as she now skimmed through a textbook and the tip of her pencil snapped.

"Today's a holiday, I should be happy instead of thinking about stuff that doesn't matter, I mean I'm gonna see everyone in a couple of hours anyway so what's the big deal, I was kinda anticipating Mat giving me flowers or a card at least like some of the other boys but it's fine." Kait said to herself as she sharpened her pencil and listened to her professor.

It is now lunch/lounge time and Kait starts to walk to one of Ruri's classes but she hears the voice of someone she knows, it was Mat's. She walks back, peeking into a classroom where she spots what looks like Mat's shadow and someone else, Mat and that person then start to hug and touch each other, light shines through a window revealing that Mat and Hao were there kissing. Kait then ducks down, looking away from the classroom and runs to Ruri who is walking with the others. "I just saw something that I regret seeing." Kait explained. "Oh that, yeah a lot of people do that here, it's like why can't they just do it somewhere else?" Steven thought out loud.

"It was Mat and Hao though, they were doing something and I saw them and I..." Kait said. "Ignore it, it's not like we can mention it up to Mat's face, plus when you have the homies you don't really care about that stuff, come on we're gonna exchange gifts at lunch." Ruri said as Kait walked faster trying to get to the caffe. At lunch the group sat at a table a good length away from the other ones as they ate and talked. Sel nervously held a basket with a tiny letter and a bunch of other stuff close to his chest as he looked over at a girl two tables away from them. "You know it would be a waste if you prepared that whole damn basket just for you to chicken out and keep it to yourself." Rei said taking a bite out of a slice of pizza.

"Yo I was born a pussy bro, I can't do this shit, can someone else do it for me?" Sel asked. "Alright." Sofiya said standing up, ready to give it to the girl. "What, I was joking, I just gotta man up!" Sel yelled as Rei, tired of Sel's talking, pushed him into the sea of the cafeteria where he then bumped into the girl that he was looking at. Her name was Lucia, she had long black hair, was quite skinny, and wore a red hoodie that Sel adored. They had talked before but they were never really close enough for the opposite person to know that they had feelings. Sel and Lucia stood nervously at the center of the cafeteria as Rei put his hand on his face and closed his eyes. "Aint no way my man's Alex is gonna sell the bag again." Rei said. Sel then gave the basket to Lucia as she smiled and gave him a note, they then embraced as in the distance Kevin, Sage, Aaron, Cris, and Jacob screamed "Let's go!". Mat smiled looking at Sel and Lucia hug but was then brought back to a conversation that Hao was having with his friends.
