"Wei gonzi...why is the second young master crying?"

Wen Ning stood appalled at the sight in front of him. Not many have seen expressions in Hanguang-jun's face, and very few have seen him in his current state. Wen Ning had no words to say, stunned to see the famous Lan Wanji reduced to tears.

Earlier he had been travelling with young Sizhui to visit the Burial Mounds in Yiling. On their way they ran into the famous couple in a little town. The village was so small that they had only one inn, which was quite cheap, resulting in them renting the whole place for the night. All thanks to Hanguang-jun's generous wallet.

Wen Ning and Sizhui had retired to their rooms immediately, exhausted from travelling all day. A pesky water ghoul had given them some trouble on the way, and it had taken a while to subdue it. Sizhui was soaking wet when they bumped into Lan Wanji.

It wasn't until later that Wei Wuxian wished for a drinking partner and the Second White Jade agreed without hesitation. He grabbed a huge jar of Emperor's Smile and downed it before Wei Wuxian could even start protesting. He dropped the jar and it rolled across the drinking room

Dread crept into Wei Wuxian's viens. A cup of alcohol will destroy Lan Zhan's basic senses, and now he's emptied an entire jar!

Lan Zhan slumped against the pillar, falling asleep instantly. His forehead band was crooked and his ears were a brilliant red. He snored quietly, his face relaxed; almost like a little child after eating his full. Wei Wuxian chuckled. How could he not handle his drunk husband's outrageous antics when Lan Zhan has a cute expression pasted on his face.

He left him sleep and went to the little porch outside. The moon was full and gleaming, full with vigour, just like Lan Zhan. Crickets chirped and fireflies flitted around the little garden. Wei Wuxian smiled. He settled down against a pillar and leaned back. A cold breeze tickled his exposed hands, tangling his unruly black hair. It was well into the night and no one was lingering around, . He drank his wine, enjoying the sights and sounds around him.

The peace reminded him about his childhood in Lotus Pier. Yanli would come searching for him with her lantern, then feed him lotus seeds. Jiang Cheng would complain until jiejie fed him too. He sighed heavily, yearning for those days filled with only smiles and laughter.

A long while passed until he felt a change in atmosphere. Someone shuffled trough the doors and plopped right next him.

'Ah Lan Zhan. It's a pretty night isn't it?'

'Mn.'

They sat there in comfortable silence, feeling warm and safe in each others presence. Suddenly Lan Zhan turned to him and asked the most funniest question Wei Wuxian heard while Lan Zhan was drunk.

Lan Zhan grabbed his hand and held it to his heart. Wei Wuxian chuckled at how fast his beloved's heart was racing. 'Wei Ying, will you marry me?'

Wei Wuxian paused. Did husband actually forget that they were married already?! A sly thought crept into his mind.

'But I'm already married Lan Zhan.'

Lan Wanji's face went pale, his eyes widened in shock. His hand holding Wei Wuxian slacked. A slight chocked noise leaves his quivering lips. Maybe I took it too far, Wei Wuxian worried. Lan Zhan stood up abruptly. 'I apologize for interfering. Excuse me,' he said. He turned sloppily and stumbled inside.

Wei Wuxian jumped to his and pursued his husband. 'Lan Zhan wait! I was just-'

'Please call me Lan Wanji,' Lan Zhan hicked. 'We are not married.'

Although his face was stoic, his voice definitely cracked. Aiya, I've really gone overboard

Wei Wuxian tugged at Lan Zhan's enormous sleeves, pulling the man to face him. What he saw shocked him. Precious tears rolled down Lan Zhan's face, dripping from his chin. His eyes were red, a small trail of snot flowed from his nose and frown was plastered across his face. Wei Wuxian couldn't help but think how cute his husband looked. Lan Zhan looked like a little child who was denied candy. He started sniffling and crumpled to the floor, and began sobbing.

Wei Wuxian panicked, but he couldn't stop giggling. 'Aiya! Lan Zhan! Don't cry! We are married! Both of us! Come on don't cry,' Wei Wuxian consoled him, patting his back. But Lan Zhan just sobbed loudly.

"Wei gonzi...why is the second young master crying?"

Wei Wuxian's head whipped around to see Wen Ning by the stairs. 'Ah don't worry! He just got drunk!' He quickly signaled for Wen Ning to go back. Lan Zhan would always get jealous of Wen Ning when he was drunk. Now he was even crying thinking that they were not married to each other. Wei Wuxian didn't want any misunderstandings and have Lan Zhan start wailing.

Wen Ning quickly clambered upstairs back to his room, wondering what had transpired downstairs for Hanguang-jun to wail like a child.

After making sure Wen Ning had left, Wei Wuxian pulled Lan Zhan to his lap;he didn't resist. 'Hanguang-jun, look at this ring will you?'

Lan Zhan took a little peek at the silver ring in Wei Wuxian's hand. He pulled his hand, examining the ring embedded with green jades. Wei Wuxian then pointed to Lan Zhan's own hand, where a similar ring adorned his finger. 'They match don't they?'

Lan Zhan nodded shyly. His ears that was pink earlier was now a crimson red. He buried his head in Wei Wuxian stomach, probably blushing hard. Evil thoughts came into Wei Wuxian's as he devised his plan to bully a defenseless Lan Zhan.

'Lan Zhan...,' he drawled seductively. 'Do you want to kiss me?'

Lan Wanji tightened his arms around Wei Wuxian's waist. His imperceptible nod was definitely not missed. Wei Wuxian chuckled. He played with Lan Zhan's silky hair, teasing his very drunk husband. He bent down and whispered, 'Call me Xian-gege,' into Lan Zhan's ear. Lan Zhan recoiled slightly at the little tease, but he sat up straight.

'Xian-ge...' he whispered. He fiddled with his sleaves, a slight tinge of pink dusting his cheeks. He wouldn't dare meet Wei Wuxian's eyes. 'Xian-gege...'

Wei Wuxian laughed and pulled Lan Zhan close to him. Lan Zhan closed his eyes tightly. But the kiss never came. Wei Wuxian breathed on his nose, stopping millimeters away from Lan Zhan's lips. Lan Zhan let out a whine of disappointment which shocked even Wei Wuxian. He really had messed too much with Wanji that the great Hanguang-jun was reduced to acts of childish outbursts! He couldn't stop laughing about Lan Zhan's drunk self's behavior.  He had teased him so much and didn't want to make his husband wait any longer. The infamous Yiling Patriarch finally closed the gap between them,  rewarding his beloved husband with a long awaited kiss.

When they came up for air, Lan Zhan's face was truly a mess. 'We're married now,' he giggled. Wei Wuxian guffawed. He cupped Lan Zhan's face and peppered him with more kisses. When he looked back into his golden eyes, Wei Wuxian realized he had reached his limit. Lan Zhan's skin was burning hot under his touch! He slowly pushed a stray lock of hair behind Lan Zhan's ear, as if he hadn't noticed Lan Zhan's hot skin, and secured it properly. 'Sleep a little, Lan Zhan.'

Lan Zhan buried his head in Wei Wuxian's lap and drifted off to sleep. Wei Wuxian patted his head before leaning against the padded walls comfortably. He played with Lan Zhan's head band as he smoothed out his hair. Ah Lan Zhan, you're going to be so embarrassed tomorrow when you hear your drunken tales, he thought before slumber took him over as well.
