It was late into the night when Xie Lian finally returned to the Paradise Manor. Ghost city was bustling with activity, alive with commotion. But he was too tired to talk with anyone. Silently he slipped into their abode hoping to see his husband. His heart ached with the separation from his husband. He really wanted to smother Hua Cheng with kisses and then snuggle into bed.

But he knew his husband would be busy handling Gamblers den. Xie Lian sighed. He dropped his hat and outer robes in one of the alcoves and went to the spring outside to wash himself. The spring reminded him of the day the both of them had spent building it.

They were laughing and teasing each other all day, jumping into the pool after they had filled it with water. Xie Lian smiled to himself. He wanted to see his beloved immediately. However he didn't want to want disturb him either. So in the spur of the moment he recited Hua Cheng's communication password, his face heating up from saying the lewd password out loud.

He quickly dunked into the water when he heard a cheerful voice in his head.

'Gege! Is something wrong? U never call me through the communication array!'

Xie Lian didn't know whether he should laugh or cry. 'Ah San Lang, this Xie Lian just missed u hahaha...'

'This one missed you too gege. The ache of separation burdens my heart!'

Xie Lian couldn't help but chuckle at his husband's grand proclamations. Yet he knew that they were all true.

'Ah San Lang, forgive this gege for disturbing you. It must be a busy night in Gambler's den from all the noise I heard...'

A bright light flashed behind him and he turned around to meet his husband's notorious face. Xie Lian gasped. 'San Lang! What are you doing! You should be at the den not here!'

'Yin Yu can handle it,' Hua Cheng waved and then a big pout appeared on his face. 'Does gege not want me here?'

San Langg, Xie Lian sighed. He felt bad for Yin Yu, but the chief officer didn't seem to mind. Suddenly reality struck Xie Lian.

He was as naked as a newborn! He plunged into the pool, his face hot from embarrassment. No matter how many times the Ghost King had seen him, he was always shy. He heard a loud slosh beside him. When he emerged again, he blushed harder.

All his husband's clothesline laid abandoned in one of the rocks. Hua Cheng had jumped in too!

'San Lang!' Xie lian was very embarrassed to see Hua Cheng just a few feet away with a shit eating grin across his face.

'Dianxia! This servant greatly missed you too!'

Xie lian sighed. His ghost king was a menace indeed.

'How was San Lang 's day today?' he asked turning away from Hua Cheng.

The ghost king swiftly moved forward to hold his husband, caressing the tight muscles in his back. His artful hands slowly worked away the tension from Xie Lian's shoulders. His husband sighed and leaned back into Hua Cheng's body.

'It was boring gege. This San Lang's heart ached from separation. I was very tempted to visit you today dianxia,' he whined.

He bit Xie Lian's neck gently, sending shivers down the God's body. He gasped, then gently caressed Hua Cheng's long luscious locks. The ghost king pressed into his gods touch, softly kissing his calloused hands and continued to ramble. Xie Lian smiled and nuzzled into the Ghost King's chest. He gently rained kisses along Hua Cheng's throat, giggling when his husband swallowed hard. He really missed the love his beloved showered on him.

Words were lost in the tenderness shared between them, their souls merging as one. Water slithered down their bodies, silent witnesses to the their immeasurable love. Both men sat close to each other, forgetting the woes of the mortal realm and enjoyed the presence of the other.

They belonged together, connected by devotion, love and the urge to protect the other.

For eight hundred years they searched for each other, and finally found peace in each other's arms. Xie Lian leaned his head on Hua Cheng's shoulder, finding inner peace after 800 years of pain. Hua Cheng wrapped his arms around his beloved, his un-beating heart filled with devotion.

Words weren't needed to express what they felt for in both their minds were the same things.

'I love you San Lang'

'I love you gege'
