Author's Note: All the stuff in the dungeon happened before Skylar and Herobrine got into a one-on-one fight. When Raygel commented about Herobrine's reduced influence, it was because he was distracted by finding Skylar. I don't know if this makes sense but I figured I should try to clear up any confusion. If you have any questions, you can either PM me or comment down below. As the author, I know things that you readers don't, so it makes more sense to me. Well, enjoy the chapter now <3

When Kylie left me so she could go get food, she looked much more cheerful. Everyone hovered around the small hut and nibbled on some food. After a few minutes, Lizzie sat down next to me.

"What are we going to do now?" She asked.

"I don't know," I replied. There was a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that seemed very familiar.

Raygel, your help is needed... Notch said. His voice was hard to hear, but I caught enough to realize a bit of what was going on. He was urging us to get back to Seto and Lizzie's original base. "I do know that we're close to your old base." I said slowly, hoping someone would take the hint because I wasn't sure how to word it.

"Maybe we should go there and see how everyone is doing. A lot has happened." Seto spoke up from nearby. Lizzie nodded, and stood up to pitch the idea to the rest of the group. There wasn't any objections, maybe since we didn't have a different plan. So, it was decided quickly. We emptied my chests of the few supplies they contained.

"Lead the way," Lizzie cheerfully told me. I rolled my eyes in mock annoyance but agreed. It didn't take me long to find my way. In fact, we were less than ten minutes away. I walked semi-quickly, earning a concerned look from Kitty before I slowed down.

As we neared out destination, my sense of unease grew. I kept my iron sword within close reach and slowed down even more to get an idea of what was going on. I could see the torchlight from the base, but as I pushed aside the vines to see the entrance, I froze in shock. I was greeted by a nasty scene. I could see a flash of blue and piercing white eyes I knew too well.

"Herobrine," Kitty breathed in a mixture of horror and dread. Lizzie and Seto's friends - Ty, Jason, Jordan, Sky, and Ant - were frozen in place with visible ice. Herobrine's attention was focused on the one unfrozen person. I could distinguish her from this distance by her black and white hoodie. It was Skylar. I'd seen her after fighting Herobrine, and Lizzie had talked about her when she tried to catch me up on all that had happened. Apparently, she was pretty cool and good at fighting. Noah and Kylie had talked about her as well - as the girl who defected because of Mitch. A former minion of Herobrine's? Why was she fighting, I wondered. Anyway, none of that mattered at the moment.

I was snapped out of my thoughts as Herobrine stepped forward to strike. I did the only thing I could do. I ran closer and pulled out my bow. Kitty followed, almost instinctively, and we shot at Herobrine in unison. Our arrows struck him in the shoulder and didn't do much for damage, but at least he'd noticed us. He spun around to stare at us in anger and surprise. The girl - Skylar - tried to use the opportunity to her advantage and stab him in the back. However, he was too slow and her diamond sword whizzed through empty air as Herobrine used his powers to teleport closer to Kitty and I.

"What are you doing here?" He screamed in rage. Obviously, we had messed up some sort of plan. "How dare you - ?!" Kitty and I didn't wait for him to finish his rant and lunged forward. By some miracle, we caught him by surprise. He twisted to avoid Kitty's stab, but ran into mine instead. He attempted to teleport away, but I grabbed his arm roughly and teleported with him.

Herobrine stared at me in a mixture of shock, confusion, anger, pain, and - most surprisingly - fear. I glared back. I was tempted to kill him right then and there by slitting his throat, but Notch's soft voice once again whispered in my mind. Don't... the guilt would kill you, Raygel. This is deeper than just Herobrine. I chocked back the frustrated tears that welled in my eyes and put away my sword as Herobrine, the infamous leader of evil, crumpled at my feet. His eyes closed and for once - despite his wounds and the blood covering his clothes - he looked peaceful.
