I woke up in the morning as usual with the sun’s rays peeking into my bedroom, but I had no motivation to do anything. I wasted the day away, adding occasional modifications to my home. I did a bit of hunting, some farming, but nothing really productive until I decided to go back inside for the night.

I was bored, plain and simple. Not to mention lonely, but there was nothing I could do about that. However, maybe it would help if I went exploring? Maybe I should go on a long journey, sampling new sights, sounds, and smells. It wouldn't even be that much of a hassle, considering the number of extra materials I had laying around. Should I do it? Could I do it? It would be dangerous, but that's what makes the idea so exciting. What would be the use of rotting away in this makeshift castle if I don't have fun along the way? Maybe I should sleep on it, it was late after all. The moon had risen high into the sky. Could my mind be fuddled with fatigue?

Deciding to postpone my decision, I headed to bed. I spent my night as usual, dreamless but quick. However, when I woke up, I had a feeling of restlessness. That feeling led me to my decision. I would go. I wasn’t going to just sit here for the rest of my life! I might even find something interesting.

I gathered a few supplies, but I didn’t need too much. Just some OP armor and swords, a few stacks of food and wood, and a spare bed to sleep in. Nothing more was really needed. And so the next day I set out at dawn, rested and ready and feeling more alive than I had in a while. I barely noticed the smile on my face as the wind blew through my hair. I had no real destination, so I started to follow the river.

The leaves on the trees rustled peacefully in a playful breeze. The sun’s rays were welcome warmth. I walked all day, eating and enjoying the scenery as I walked. I sighed peacefully. This is what I had wanted – to get out of the routine and discover new things. At one point I was walking through a place made entirely of sand, a desert actually. I had to camp there for the night in a makeshift house of wood, my bed inside. I went to sleep with no incident. Then I woke up and set off with my things again.

That day, I passed through a place with many snow-covered mountains and onto a jungle. I climbed a set of vines to the top of the tallest tree I could, scanning the area. As the sun began to fall in the sky, a light among the leaves caught my eye. It looked like the glow from a torch, but I’d never explored in this direction before. It couldn’t be lava because the trees surrounding were intact and glow stone can only be found in the nether. It had to be a torch. I frowned in confusion.

What was going on here? Could there be someone else here? If so, how could they have gone undetected by me for so long? No, there couldn’t be someone else. There must just be something I hadn’t encountered yet.  I had to find out in the morning. I placed down my bed and lightly slept the night away.

A/N: Hey reader(s)! Ooh, what's going on? What do you think will happen next? Leave a comment below :) Anyway, I need a few more characters for later on (totally not foreshadowing :P), if you would lke to send me a descripton of a character including gender, appearance, personality, and what is special about them, then your character just might be used in this story or a furture story! Just comment below and I hope that you like it so far!
