I opened my eyes and stood as the world came into focus around me. Everything was made of blocks and I had the feeling that I'd been here before. I was in a forest with trees surrounding me. In the distance behind me stood a tall mountain and a river ran lazily nearby in front of me. I instinctively knew what to do, further cementing the idea that I had been here before - even if I didn't remember it. I approached a nearby oak tree and started punching it (as odd as that sounds). Eventually, a the block broke and I collected it.
A few more trees later, I had a decent collection of wood and the sun was at its peak in the sky. Soon, night would fall and I would want to be in shelter before then. Opening up my inventory, I made two stack of wooden planks - 64 each to be exact - and made a crafting table that I set up in the clearing I had made while cutting down trees.
Hours later, I was putting the last blocks on my 5X5 block house as the sun was setting. I breathed a sigh of relief as I placed the last block and locked myself in the dark room. Because I had some time to spare as I waited out the night, I made and placed down a door and chest. I also made some basic wooden tools like a pickaxe and axe. Later, I could use the pickaxe to get some stone and make better tools and I could use the axe to get more wood quicker.
Running out of things to do, I crouched by the door and stared out into the night. All around me I could hear hungry groans, clanking bones, and the hissing from various creatures that wanted to kill me.
Over time, the blocky moon slowly fell out of the sky to be replaced by the equally blocky sun's fieiry rays. I waited to open my door until I heard the last of the burning monsters die. Finally, I opened the door and peeked outside. Loots littered the ground, but there were no mobs waiting to kill me. I ran around quickly collecting everything and stored it all in the chest before exiting my house for the day. Finally, I started my exploration, walking biome to biome. I killed animals, mined easy to find ores, and chopped down a few trees before I decided to head home.
As I turned, I heard a terrible hissing sound and for only an instant I saw the bloated face of a creeper about to explode. There was no time to run or even scream before I was knocked back. My head cracked against a tree and I fell to the ground painfully. After a few seconds of marveling that I was still alive, I stood back up. I took a deep breath, casting a wary glance around me, and then ran as fast as my injuies allowed back to my home.
The sun was disappearing as I finally made it inside, but it was no problem. I had collected the wool I needed and already had wooden planks. I made a bed with my crafting table, serveral furnaces, and a few more tools. I set up the three furnaces. One was cooking raw food, another had iron ore for iron ingots, and the last had sand for glass. That done, I laid down to sleep.
