A/N: Fun fact - I chose the name Dougal because it means "dark stranger". And it sounded different :) On another note, the next few chapters will probably be more delayed.
Raygel's POV
"I know where Notch is." Ethan announced. That immediately caught my attention. In the general, I wasn't too concerned about Ethan really being someone else. That didn't bother me - perhaps because I hadn't known him for too long or his secret hadn't put us in danger. To me, he was just like Skylar, who I still respected and trusted despite her being a former minion of Herobrine. In a way, I trusted Herobrine himself because he was my brother. Ethan, or Aidan I suppose, wasn't that different from them in my mind. However, the mention of Notch made me interested in the conversation for the first time.
"What?!" Kitty asked Ethan immediately after his quiet announcement.
"Well, I have a good idea," Ethan clarified. "You see, there aren't very many places you can hide, but I know of one that should be able to protect somebody from any observers or intruders."
"Where?" Kitty questioned.
He answered, "The End."
"The End?" I echoed. Wasn't that where the Ender Dragon lived? He nodded.
"Yes. The Ender Dragon's magic is powerful enough that it blocks most people. It wasn't even in the game until more recently, so it's harder to control," Ethan explained. "The Nether also used to be a fairly good place to hide, but that was because it was Herobrine's domain. Now, without Herobrine, I'm sure it's been taken over by someone else or even Dougal."
"I was there once," I murmured, talking about the End. Sky glanced at me and smiled in amusement - apparently he remembered. I felt heat rise to my cheeks. I was acting pretty stupid back then. Now I knew more; I was more experienced. He shook his head and looked away from me. I thought back. We knew where an End portal was, obviously. The question was: What about the last time I was there? All I remembered was the pain and panic... why did Herobrine try to stop me that day? Another question to ask him, I suppose.
Notch? I mentally sent out a message but received no reply. I wasn't really expecting a reply, but I could still hope. He hadn't spoken to me for days.
"But we can't just go to the End-" Jerome tried to protest.
"Actually, we can. We know where a portal is," Ty cut him off.
"You do?" Jerome looked awestruck. Was it really that big of a deal?
Sky smirked at me before speaking up. "Yeah, I'm sure Raygel remembers... since she jumped into it."
I glared at him. "You guys approached me with weapons and I panicked, alright?" I growled.
"You..." Kitty began, looking like she was going to burst into laughter, "you used an End portal to escape Sky and the others?!" I looked away from her.
"Maybe..." I said quietly.
"She did," Seto confirmed. I shot him a glare, but he continued. "To be fair, we did run at her with weapons and were the first people she met. It was still an... interesting... choice, though."
"Oh my, they're serious aren't they?" Kylie asked. "You were that scared?"
"Yes, I was, alright?" I confirmed angrily. "I was scared and I ran. And I nearly died because of it." The amused expressions around me faded.
"I remember... you collapsed," Sky said quietly. "When we got there, you were unconscious."
"Did Herobrine knock you out?" Jordan asked me.
