Raygel's POV

"Um...." I hesitated. What exactly could I tell Sky to explain away the blood and our presence in Skylar's room in the middle of the night. "Don't worry about it?"

"Don't worry about it?!" Sky echoed incredulously.

"I'm fine, I just cut my hand," I assured him.

"And guess Skylar will say the same?" He said sarcastically and turned his gaze onto Skylar. She shrugged and nodded. Her hands were in loose fists to conceal them. Next, Sky turned to Seto and tried to stare him down. Seto looked distinctly uncomfortable, but he said nothing.

"Uh, guys?" Ty spoke up. "This can probably wait... there's something we need to tell you." Sky sighed.

"What is it?" Kitty asked.

"It might be better to just show you," Sky resigned. He lead the way and we followed. Soon, I could tell where we were going. Why were we going to the dungeon? I wondered. What had happened? As soon as we got there, though, I started to piece it together. Herobrine sat on his bed, looking like he almost in pain, and a note lay on the floor of his cell. There was a chair next to the cell bars, presumably where Ty, the current guard, had sat.

"Where did he get the book and quill?" Seto asked the obvious question. I then recalled Ty's sheepish - or guilty - expression and his reputation for being a horrible guard.

"You fell asleep, didn't you, Ty?" I sighed. He barely nodded and refused to meet anyone's eyes. "What else did you have in your pack?"

"Food, weapons... the keys... TNT..." Ty listed, hesitating between each worrying item.

"What's missing?" Kitty demanded.

"That's the thing," Sky said. "Only the book was taken." He looked confused. I stared into the cell at the note on the floor. It must be something important, then.

"Give me the keys." I finally demanded. Ty quickly reached into his pocket.

"What're you doing?!" Kitty protested.

"I'm going in there. There's not much he can do to me anyway, so it should be fine," I tried to smile reassuringly. Honestly, I was freaked out, but I would never admit it. I snatched the keys from Ty before anyone could protest or stop me.

When I unlocked the cell, Herobrine didn't even look up. I closed he door behind me and bent to pick up the note. I skimmed it and my brows furrowed in concern. Then I read it again, more slowly and carefully. I said nothing when I was finished. I don't know what I could have said. Instead, my eyes drifted up to rest on Herobrine with a whole new expression: pity.

"Raygel?" Kitty asked. She stared through the bars, looking worried.

"He has the green magic around him... but it's not strong yet." Skylar observed. "In fact, I can barely see it."

"What magic?" Sky questioned. "What's going on?"

"Shh," I shushed him.

That note explains a lot, Notch commented.

You're back, I observed.

Of course. What happened? He asked

I guess you could say that the Corruption tried to get to me - the guy from my dreams. Skylar saved me. Apparently, she can see magic, I gave him a quick summary.
