(Chen's ferry arrives at an island, preparing to dock. Everyone, as well as the Ninja stare at the fortress in awe)
Cole: Would you look at that.
Jay: Whoa.
Kai: Awesome.
Destiny: Eh, I've seen better. This is nothing compared to the palaces in Cloud Kingdom.
Jay: Isn't that a literal floating city? Of course it beats this, but you have to admit, this is impressive too.
Destiny: Strangely impressive. How did he build this?
(Before anyone can answer, Karlof pushes Destiny and Kai aside)
Karlof: Let me see.
Kai: (he turns around to face Karlof) Ugh, do you mind?
Karlof: Maybe Karlof does.
(Karlof and Kai get into a fighting stance, but Destiny gets in between them)
Destiny: Guys, chill. Especially you (she points her finger in Karlof's face)
Garmadon: (says in warning tone) Destiny...
Destiny: (ignores Garmadon) I don't know what your deal is, but you gotta seriously back off.
Karlof: (growls angrily) You little-
(Before Karlof can finish his sentence, a gong is hit, startling everyone by the sound)
Clouse: Welcome to Chen's Island.
Kai: (whispers to Destiny) I was handling it, but thanks.
Destiny: I know, but he's just so annoying.
Kai: You're not wrong there.
(Two servants lay out a board as Chen steps across onto the island)
Clouse: The Tournament of Elements welcomes its brave fighters. Master Chen will be pleased you've returned, Sensei Garmadon (side-eyes Garmadon).
Garmadon: The pleasure is all mine, Clouse.
Clouse: I'm sure it is. (walks away)
Jay: (appears beside him) Definitely feeling some tension between you two.
Kai: (appears on his other side) Yeah, and how is it we're on an island I've never seen on any map?
Cole: (appears in front of him) And care to explain how the face of Ninjago's most popular noodle house is secretly assembling an underground fighting tournament?
Destiny: Maybe what we should all be asking is... (pushes Cole so she's in front of Garmadon)
Cole: Hey!
Destiny: ...why he's gathered us all here in the first place?
Jay: Backstory please.
Garmadon: (sighs and starts walking) Master Chen used to be a friend. Now he's a traitor.
Destiny: Deep.
Jay: So, what happened?
Cole: Uh, he was explaining it. Have some patience, Jay.
Jay: Patience? (he starts to walk towards Cole) I'll show you-
Garmadon: (interrupts both of them) During the Serpentine Wars, Chen turned against his own kind and sided with the treacherous snakes.
