It was the day of the concert and although she hated to admit it Leafy was ecstatic.

She prided herself of not placing her hopes on these small shows like the other girls but a small part of her always prayed she would get noticed by a random agent in the crowd who would let her join a big company and she'd shoot to the top again.

But deep down she knew that chance wasn't a thing in this industry and the only thing that could get back her past was gruelling, hardwork.

As she sat in the car that drove her to the venue she remembered she had to meet the new bodyguard.

She groaned to herself as this meant she had to speak to him before the show and it just got in the way of everything she did.

Ever since she started out as a newbie, before every show she would talk to Four for some last minute advice and encouragement, it always helped her preform better.

Maybe she could slip out halfway to go talk to him or fake a stomach ache, she could always turn on the waterworks and make them pity her, it worked everytime.

Once they arrived, Four was standing outside to show her where to go.

Their footfalls echoed off the walls of the vast, empty hall that would soon be filled with lights, music and hopefully cheering.

Everything had already been set up, the lights crew and DJs were finishing their set ups and Leafy's stomach felt tight.

She wasn't nervous of course but she felt pity for the other girls... Yeah that's what it was, it must be scary for them, poor little newbies.

She was a flawless, experienced Idol, she didn't get scared.

"The new guard is in your dressing room, there was nowhere else you two could be placed, please don't try scare him or anything," Four yawned.

"I won't," Leafy responded.

Someone else in her dressing room? They better not be some creep who just wanted to gawk. And no matter who they were they better be greatful they can set foot in there.

As she was shown to her room, she plastered on her "Idol Smile", she needed to dazzle whoever this was so they would spread good things about her and maybe spend some money on her...

She opened the door and put on her act.

"Oh, how lovely it is to meet you! First of all let me thank you for looking after me, there's so many scary people out there I don't know what I'd do without kind people like you," she gushed.

The man in front of her gave her a confused look then cringed slightly.

Leafy was taken aback but kept the pretence going, maybe he was just shy, she was a pretty idol after all.

"I hope we can get along, it's always nice when I can be friends with my co-workers," she smiled.

"I'm just... doing my job, I don't think it's good to be friends with your employees," he stated.

For a moment she faltered. So, he had seen through her visage and realised what she meant.

She didn't actually see anyone around her as co-workers, she just saw them as stepping stones to getting back to where she was meant to be.

She shut the door and took a deep breath, getting a proper look at him, he had fire-like orange hair and tense eyes.

"Forgive me if come off too strong, I've been told I'm too bubbly and nice," she grinned.

"If I'm being honest I don't really care, as far as I'm concerned you're just some overbegged girl with some natural looks who they shove into a pretty dress and make you dance around, nothing special," he said simply.
