He remembered proposing to her like it was yesterday, it would forever be in his mind.

It was one of his favorite memories.

Firey had finally gotten the courage and bought the ring which he actually lost for about a month until he found it amongst Butter's dog toys.

The day he popped the question, he had taken Leafy out for a lovely dinner after they had spent the afternoon wandering around the city.

It was gorgeous and lit by candles in one of the fanciest restaurants in the city but Leafy was used to the finer things in life nowadays.

Her work as an Idol paid off and although she was beginning to move away from that aspect of her career, her acting jobs were growing more and more common had she had received countless nominations for prestigious awards.

But despite that, she would forever be "The Emerald Idol" and Firey made a mental note of that.

Things were going well, for both of them.

Firey continued to work as hard as he could and was offered a position in the Agricultural sector of the government and was on his way to aim for the position of Minister but it would take a few more years given his relatively young age.

Their lives were stable, they'd matured and grown in the four years they'd been together and Firey knew he wanted to stay with her.

After the dinner, he took her to the city's famous sky scraper that provided the perfect view of the city and the stars on clear nights.

No one else was there, the city bustled below and Leafy was absolutely in awe of it all, she loved the sight before her.

"Oh Firey, thank you so much for bringing me here, isn't it absolutely wonderful," Leafy gushed.

But he wasn't looking at the city, he was staring longingly at the woman beside him as her green hair blew in the gentle breeze.

She looked so gorgeous in the moonlight, her eyes shimmered with a joy that he only knew when he was with her, her cheeks were tinted red from the slight chill and she looked absolutely perfect.

When she turned to look at Firey, to her surprise he was no longer standing upright.

He was down on one knee, shaking slightly, with a small box in the palm of his hand and Leafy covered her mouth as she gasped softly.

"Leafy Verte, will you marry me?"

Firey didn't get a verbal response right away because Leafy let out a happy little squeak before she wrapped her arms around him essentially tackled the lovestruck man to the ground.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes," she yelled, tears in her eyes as she kissed him repeatedly on the cheek, laughing between each one.

Now he was stood at the altar, desperately trying to fix the collar of his shirt before the ceremony started so he didn't look like a total idiot on one of the most important days of his life.

"You've never gotten the hang of this, have you?" Cherri sighed as she walked over to help him.

"It's just the nerves," Firey insisted.

"There's nothing to be nervous about, it's clear as day how much you two love eachother," Cherri smiled.

"I know but I'm still... terrified for lack of a better word," Firey admitted.

Cherri gave him a sympathetic look, he was trembling and she could see the extent of his nervousness in his eyes.

"Don't be worried about a thing, I won't be far if you need me," she assured.
