"According to the directions I found online we should be there in ten minutes, it's a straight run from here," Leafy said to Firey as they walked side by side.

"You ever been to this place?" Firey asked as he admired the neon lights around them.

"Nope, but I've heard good things about it, it's pretty difficult to get in here!" Leafy replied rather smugly.

"I don't know much about clubs or whatever, don't think I'll be doing much mingling nor will I be much fun ," Firey yawned.

"Hey, I always have fun with you," Leafy laughed, giving him a soft punch in the arm.

Firey wasn't really used to city night-life, he was a country boy through and through, growing up in the middle of nowhere and not exactly living in the city nowadays meant he was basically a fish out of water.

He had always wanted to visit a club or bar, the lights, the drinks and the atmosphere intrigued him but the people and drunken behavior detered him.

Leafy seemed to be really excited about this party, she would definitely thrive in a club situation and so Firey decided to stick near her the whole night, although he really had to because of his job of keeping her safe.

They soon arrived at the club where a large queue was stood outside the main entrance.

Firey groaned as he hated the thought of waiting out in the cold but Leafy marched forward to the doors.

Highly embarrassed, Firey quickly followed behind her, what in the name of God made her think she could just skip ahead of all these people?

He got his answer when Leafy spoke to the honcho guarding the door, who gave her a strange look before she took out her phone and showed him an invitation she had gotten.

She thanked the man as she walked in, called back to Firey to follow her, as he walked through the door, he gave a nod of aknowledgement to the guard, two birds of a feather.

Firey walked behind Leafy as she weaved through the crowd and made her way to the bar where she ordered two cocktails, handing one to Firey once she got them.

He couldn't tell what it was since the lights didn't show what colour the drink was, he was about to ask Leafy what he was about to drink when he realised she was no longer standing beside him.

There was a lot of people everywhere he looked, finding her would be difficult.

After skulking through the sea of dancing people for fifteen minutes, Firey gave up trying to find her, he was starting to feel way too warm and he hated everyone pushing up against him.

Unfortunately, he couldn't just call it a day and go home, looking after Leafy was a part of his job so he couldn't just leave her here.

He walked up a flight of steep metal stairs that led to a large balcony overlooking the dance floor, it was quiet and calmer and gave a decent view of the floor below so he could try see if he could spot Leafy anywhere.

Time went by with no sign of the girl, Firey sent her a text in the hopes that she would respond.

As he sat on a small couch near the balcony railings, he got the feeling he was being watched.

From the corner of his eye, Firey saw a group of young girls who looked to be around Leafy's age, all giggling and nudging each other as they looked at him, not doing anything to hide the fact they were pointing at him.

He rolled his eyes slightly and exhaled slowly, he hated people like that.

They all looked stupid, giggling and teasing each other, sipping stupid drinks and wearing way too much makeup, he never understood it.
