To say Leafy was hurt by Firey's response would be a massive understatement.

So she was right, he wouldn't even take the chance to get to know her.

She sat alone in her dressing room, feeling upset and disheartened.

The show was starting in less than an hour, she needed to pick herself up and get mentally ready.

"Come on Leafy, you can this, they'll all be screaming your name," she said to herself.

They loved her, anyone who bought tickets were clearly fans and her fans loved her.

They didn't know her, they only knew her pretty words that were shallow.

But, a love that's based on lies can still be called love...

Right?

*knock, knock*

"Come in!" Leafy called.

Four opened the door and greeted Leafy happily.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Four asked with noticeable eagerness.

"I'm all fired up!" she said determinedly.

"That's great to hear!" Four smiled, offering a hand for a high-five.

"I'm ready to make this my best show yet!" Leafy grinned.

Leafy always felt bad when she lied to Four, she didn't do it often but right now, she needed to.

She knew that if Four found out how mean Firey had been or how much it hurt her, they would find some excuse to fire him before the night was over.

She couldn't do that to Firey, even after what he said she didn't want to cause him to lose his job.

Even though he had now outright said he wanted nothing to do with her, she still found that she cared about him, you don't hurt the people you care about.

She had no idea why she cared about him so much, objectively speaking there was nothing special about him, he was just a pretty good-looking, regular guy, no status or anything.

And yet, something about him drew her in, it made her want to learn about him, his likes and dislikes, his interests, she wanted to know who he was behind the tough persona he had.

Oh wait, she did know his dislikes...

Her.

She wouldn't get what she wanted, she wouldn't get to see who he was, she wouldn't get to be close to him.

She wouldn't get him.

Unaware of Leafy, her expression had grown sad and Four caught on.

"Are you alright?" they questioned.

"Oh, yes I'm fine, just a little stomach pain, that's all," she gave a smile, completely changing her outward attitude.

"Well, here's a pain killer, it should help, let me know if you feel any worse," Four said as they handed her a small pack of pills.

Leafy took them greatfully and continued talking with Four, they gave her some words of encouragement and assured her that she would do great.

Something that Leafy was always greatful for was that Four never threatened or pressured her to do well, it was always just Four being kind, like a parent who's child was just about to perform in a school play.

After a few minutes, Four had to leave, they wished Leafy a good show and went off to do one last check over everything.

She needed to get to the stage, she had to stand there before the show started incase anything went wrong and have her mic put on.
