"There you are," Noah sat down across from me with a sense of urgency. It's our lunch break now. She slid her food tray on the table. "Finally, will you tell me what happened in the closet? Pleaseeeeeee!"
I waved my hand in the air and then closed it, motioning her to shut up. "Stop. I already told you nothing happened! It's like you want something to have happened."
"Of course I wanted something to happen!" She grinned, opening up her shoulder bag full of school supplies, and then presenting a familiar notebook. "There are sparks between Axel and you." She looked at the ceiling with wonder, as though she were speaking to the sky, "I can feel it within the universe."
"Shut up," I shook my head. I hadn't told her anything that's happened between Axel and I because it all feels too fresh. I don't even know what's going on between us; if there's anything between us. None of it makes sense, and I know Noah will only make things more complicated.
"Fine. But when you're ready to face the truth, let me know." She ended the topic, then flipped through the paper in the book. "Now, it's time to get to work."
I gazed at the page she was analyzing.

"Ah, of course." I said, skimming the list.
Noah whipped out a pen, then pressed it to the paper and drew checkmark near the first number. "That's done." She said, "I'd say we got pretty blacked out last Friday night." Seemingly content, she smiled at me. I definitely agree with her, considering all of the absurdities that I'd partook in. So I nodded, "For sure."
"So what's next... Hmm..." She read down the line. "Well, there's the lacrosse game tonight that we can go to."
"Sounds good to me." I said. Austin has been talking about the first game of the season all week, so it only makes sense to go.
"Great! Another thing off of the list," Noah shimmied her shoulders with glee. "Then..." Her eyes trailed across the paper, "Oh! How about we plan the Camping Trip? We have to make sure to do that while the weather is still warm. This weekend would be perfect!"
The idea of camping is a little bit unappealing. Staying in a tent and welcoming insects and bugs into your sleeping space wasn't enticing to me. Reading the displeasure on my face, Noah rolled her eyes. "Come on, Kameron. It's camping! It might be a little gross but it's only for three days!"
