~THIRTEEN~

I slid open the window.

"You really have to stop scaring me like that! It's not funny!" I whisper yelled so the boys down stairs couldn't hear me.

"Sorry! I can't help it!" He matched my whisper. He smiled.

He climbed through the window, dusted himself off, the shut the window.

"I'm really sorry about what happened today. Soda usually isn't like that. He's a good guy when you get to know him." I said. I laid down on my bed.

He laid down next to me getting comfortable. "It's not your fault." He said.
"I can tell. He's definitely jealous." He closed his eyes. He cuddled up to me and layed his head on my chest. I started rubbing his head softly. I was laying on my back.

"What do you mean jealous?" I scoffed.

"Well your beautiful. The prettiest girl I've ever met. And you have such a great personality. And when he saw us he probably didn't like that we were as close as we were." He finished.

I was silent. I didn't know what to say. I smiled.
He got up and scooted closer to me so we were now face to face. He cupped my jaw with his hand and propped himself over me. I propped my elbows up on the bed so our noses were practically touching. He kissed me slowly. Thing got faster. All the sudden the door flys open. Somehow both of our shirts ended on the floor so they saw my bra.

"What the hell is going on!?!" Soda shouted. Dallas and Pony were right behind him.

"No! Absolutely not!" Dallas pushed passed Soda and walked into the room. He picked up my shirt and whipped it at me. I threw it on faster than ever.

Dally was holding Josh up against the wall by his neck. His face was turning a light shade of purple.

"That's right Dallas! Kill me! Kill me like you killed my sister!" Josh said struggling to breathe.

"I don't want you near my sister" Dally growled.

" I only slept with her like twice." Dally pushed him into the wall harder making him wince. I could tell it was hard for him to breathe, he just faked like he was ok. He always did.

"Dally stop!" I started crying. "Your hurting him!"  He let him go.
Josh fell to his knees and was breathing heavily. Soda wasn't at the door anymore but Ponyboy was still there. Darry and Steve had taken Sodas place.

I ran to help Josh.
"I'm okay, it's okay." He reinsured me getting up.

"Dallas stop pretending like your the big brother I need! I needed you when dad died but you left me! I'm still not the young little girl I was when you left me in New York. I've grown up and learned how to take care of myself with out any help! I. Don't.  Need. You!" I yelled at him. He walked out of the room and out of the house. I could hear him start up his car and leave.

Pony got me a bag a frozen peas and a cold glass of water for Josh.

I smiled at Pony. " Thanks Pony. Your too kind."  I held the peas to Josh's neck were it was starting to bruise.

Pony left us be. I got ready for bed and laid next to Josh on the bed.

I turned off the lights and closed my eyes.

"Delaney?" He said
"Yeah?" I responded.
"I love you"  he said.
"Good night Josh" I said

I cuddled up to him tucking my head by his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around me.
We both fell asleep.
