The room Ruan found herself in was nothing short of opulence, with gold ornaments adorning every nook and cranny. The sheer abundance of yellow hue overwhelmed her senses, as even the furniture and walls were meticulously painted in gold. The only respite from the gleaming expanse was the presence of black stone accents strategically placed throughout the room.

Although Ruan had grown accustomed to a life of wealth in her past, she had never encountered such ostentation before. The room screamed extravagance and spoke volumes about the immense wealth of its inhabitants. Despite the overwhelming display, Ruan couldn't help but appreciate the grandeur surrounding her.

However, her initial admiration was short-lived, as she found herself locked inside this room for what felt like an eternity. She had been confined to this space for almost a week now, and the novelty had long worn off. Ruan had exhausted every corner of the room with her gaze, observing the minute details with growing frustration.

A mysterious mist enveloped the room, obstructing any view of the outside world through the window. The inability to see beyond the mist only added to Ruan's sense of captivity. To exacerbate matters, she was stripped of her ability to use magic, rendering her powerless within these confinements.

Her meals would inexplicably materialize on the table, as if transported by teleportation. Ruan could only speculate on the methods employed to deliver her food. It became apparent that since their arrival in the Sunné Kingdom through a portal, a host of assassins had been strategically positioned to eliminate her the moment she emerged. Hoping for a swift audience with the king, she refrained from engaging in any confrontations, but her expectations were far from reality.

And now, she found herself locked away, akin to the fabled Rapunzel. The irony was not lost on her, and frustration grew as she flipped another page of the book with one hand, her other hand reaching for a snack to curb her mounting impatience. In this room, books and food were her sole companions, offering solace and preventing her from descending into madness. She couldn't help but wonder if these informative volumes had been intentionally placed there for her to read, as they delved into the rich history and current affairs of the Sunńe Kingdom.

Perhaps, the captors had not only intended to confine her physically but also wished to prevent an illiterate visitor from freely wandering their kingdom.
 
Malakas na isinarado ni Ruan ang makapal na libro. Nangangati na siyang makaharap ang lalaking nagpakulong sa kaniya sa loob ng kwartong ito. If given the chance, she would like to face him heads on!

Hindi siya lumingon nang maramdamang may pumasok sa loob ng kwarto. Sa presensya palang nito ay alam na niya kung sino ito.

The preparation took almost two hours before the maids left with satisfaction, leaving her with Sally because she's the one to guide her to the throne room.
