It was a long, tedious journey back to Saffron City, but with a long journey, comes a lot of training. My Pokémon got a lot stronger as I plowed my way through tall grass and Pokémon trainers alike. When I got to Saffron, I noticed some sketchiness going on. There were Rocket grunts patrolling every corner of the city. I tried to go unnoticed and blend in with the civilians in the city. Unfortunately, someone eventually grabbed me by the shoulder, and I heard a dark, sinister voice saying, "Hold it right there."

I turned around to see Celso glaring at me through his black locks. He did not look happy at all.

"What are you doing here?" he demanded, "Last I saw you, I had left you for dead in Lavender Town. Why is it that, to my displeasure, we must meet again?"

"I stayed alive just to spite you," I smirked at him, "You didn't think I would just let you have your way, did you?"

"Say what you will, but I know that your little friend in the vest and the flatcap was probably responsible for your survival."

I growled a little at this, hating the notion that my life may have been in debt to Robin.

"You know something, Celso?" my growl went back to a slight grin, "We never did finish that battle back at Lavender Tower."

"Of course we did, I was clearly victorious."

"No you weren't. Keep in mind, I'm still here, aren't I?

"Very well," he finally growled back, realizing I was right, "We'll have your rematch."

"And no funny business this time around."

"I can't promise you that."

"Fine."

Celso was taken aback at the realization that I did not care at this point whether or not he tried to pull a fast one on me.

Celso sent out Cloyster to open up, and I retaliated with Raichu. Cloyster blasted Raichu with an Ice Beam. Raichu shook it off and discharged an electric surge that fried Cloyster in one hit. Celso was not pleased with this at all. He sent out an Arcanine that had at Raichu with a Flamethrower attack followed by a Bite. Raichu was taking too much damage from Arcanine's attacks, so I had no choice but to retract him. Arcanine lunged at me when it saw that there was no Pokémon to protect me, but it froze in its tracks when I sent out Gyarados.

"Bubblebeam," I chuckled.

Gyarados obeyed. The bubbles flourished from its mouth, but as the attack went on, the bubbles turned into a flood of water blasting from Gyarados's mouth. A Hydro Pump attack. With that, Arcanine was out like a light.

I immediately brought Gyarados back to its Pokéball, saving it for later, just in case i needed it. Celso was done wasting time. He sent out an Omastar, an Aerodactyl, and a Magneton, all at the same time. I saw this as a challenge rather than Celso trying to pull a fast one. I was going to have a little fun with this.

"Haunter!" I tossed out my Pokéball, "Use Hypnosis!"

The three opponents immediately collapsed into a deep sleep, and Hauter knew what was to come now. An essence from all three Pokémon was emitted and absorbed into Haunter's body. It did not take long for the three to perish.

Celso was extremely frustrated, but a sinister smile soon stretched across the face, "Well, I've an old friend of yours who's looking forward to seeing you again."

He sent out Venomoth. I glared at the homicidal foe and gave a similar smile, "Well, I've got an old friend of yours that's been dying to face you again, he's grown a little since last time." I flicked my Pokéball out and Charizard busted out and roared viciously at Venomoth.

"You know the drill," I growled at Charizard, "Pokémon Center, not the Tower." I stopped to think about what I said, then I corrected myself, "Actually, you know what? Send him to the tower. I don't care at this point."

Charizard seemed somewhat disturbed by this, but I had not noticed at the time. Charizard blasted its Flamethrower attack and Venomoth went down, literally, in flames.

Celso's eyes flamed brighter than his Venomoth as he returned it to its Pokéball, and he immediately shot his white-hot glare at me.
