"Soobin-hyung called a meeting!"
Y/n hastily pulled her notebook from the bed in front of her to press against her chest, for no particular reason, having mainly done it out of being startled at the sudden presence that had called out cheerily from her freshly opened door.
Alas, Hueningkai left just as fast as he had arrived, paying no extra attention to her strange reaction to his unannounced arrival. He left the door unlocked, as the members usually tended to do just after calling her down for a training session.
Y/n let out a relieved sigh and took one more look at the - in her words - weird-looking sketch in her book, before placing it - along with the momentarily abandoned pencil - into the creaky drawer of her nightstand.
She made her way to the living room, not caring much to rush or even speed-walk - she trusted that Kai would have expressed the news in a more urgent manner if it required immediate attention.
Her - in a sense - confidence quickly evaporated when she had reached the last three steps of the staircase, allowing the living room to be mostly revealed to her eyeline, and she saw that the five members were already seated, seeming to have been waiting only for her. That made her pick up her pace by at least fifty percent.
However, when the room was completely visible to her, Y/n's embarrassed gaze was instantly drawn to the unfamiliar figure that sat comfortably next to Kai on one of the large gray sofas.
She had long ebony hair that seemed to cascade perfectly from her scalp, like a fountain that had been turned on just enough so that water flowed, but didn't rumble. She wore a beige sweatervest over a white blouse with a cream-coloured pleated skirt, long white socks and tan converse.
Why don't I have these clothes?
Y/n unconsciously pulled her arms over herself, feeling like a peasant in front of the flawless girl - who wasn't dressed in oversized male sweats.
But what Y/n really noticed was her face. It was shaped - more like sculpted - like a heart, in which her eyes seemed to take up more than half of her face. She had rosy lips that somehow seemed natural. Y/n was feeling insecure just looking at her.
Her lips had been drawn up into a small smile at Kai, but instantly changed when she saw Y/n enter.
Her face somehow managed to brighten up more yet, and she sprung up from the sofa - leaving Kai - and rushed towards Y/n with open arms.
Upon impact, Y/n was almost sent to the ground from the momentum, and frankly, she wasn't prepared for the hug in any way whatsoever.
She even smells nice
The girl pulled away from the hug after Y/n didn't return it, not seeming too disappointed about it.
"Sorry, I forgot that hostages don't tend to be huggers."
