"What do you mean they took her?!"

Soobin yelled out at Rina, catching the attention of a few people that were near them. A few of them moved away from the noise pollution, side-eyeing them over their drinks.

The rest of the members returned from their search at the sound of Soobin's voice booming through the room, all rushing as fast as they could.

"I saw the tall one carrying her outside, telling people that she was passed out drunk. I tried to follow him, but I tripped over my stupid fucking feet."

Expressing her drunken anger, she stepped one of her long heels onto the open skin of her other foot, instantly regretting it. She hopped on her one leg in pain, but twisted her ankle and fell into Kai's chest.

He rolled his eyes but held her up anyway.

"How could we have been so stupid..."

Beomgyu muttered to himself, still managing to be heard by everyone else. He stressfully ran his fiingers through his hair with both hands.

Kai appeared to be in a stable mood; only because he was good at that. Inside he was freaking out just as much, if not more than the rest of them.

"Let's go home so we can think about how we can get her back."

Taehyun suggested suddenly, quickly earning everyone's attention.

"Enhypen wanted her, and our only chance to keep her was to actually keep her. It's impossible."

Soobin stated, now quieter than he was earlier.

Yeonjun rubbed the back of his younger brother, forcing a comforting smile onto his face.

(A/N: just in case u forgot, soobin and yeonjun have the same dad = half-brothers)

"Wake up, Y/n.

"You're safe now. Don't worry."

Y/n's eyes fluttered open, seeing Beomgyu's caring eyes in front of her. She felt tired, and her head was throbbing painfully. It numbed a little when she saw Beomgyu in front of her, the relief seeming to counter it.

Once seeing her eyes, Beomgyu smiled warmly and reached out to caress her face. She leaned her head into his hand, enjoying the warm feeling of his thumb stroking softly over her cheekbones.

"You did great. You're okay now."

His low voice spoke gently to her, comforting her quietly.

Light blinding her vision, Y/n felt her eyes squeeze shut from the uncomfortable sensation, not realising that she hadn't opened them in the first place.

She tried to lift her hand to protect her eyes from potentially getting blinded, but felt them being restrained behind her back. A strong sense of fear was sent through her body like a heatwave, speeding up her heart rate and breathing pace.

Y/n forced herself to open her eyes, desperate to see anything.

Although she was squinting her eyes almost completely closed, she could manage to make out someone holding a flashlight above her head, subconsciously bringing it to her attention that she was on the floor.

Based on the height that the flashlight was being held, Y/n could safely say that it wasn't her dad.

The man soon lowered the blinding light from her eyes, now pointing it to the floor and illuminating the room a little.

"Heeseung?"

He nodded his head, sighing a little as he did so.

Something about the way he looked uncomfortable being there, about how he avoided her gaze to intently, made Y/n suddenly evaluate everything she knew about Heeseung then and there.

She knew little to nothing about the man, only having had a bad impression of him because he was so unfortunately associated with her monster of a father. Based on all the interactions she had seen between him and Jeongyoo, she had always thought there was something off; like he was only there for the job, and couldn't care less about building a relationship with his boss.

To build on that, it almost seemed like he was genuinely uncomfortable around him. She had seen him talk comfortably with the other members of Enhypen, but going little further than awkward handshakes with her father.

Y/n didn't know if she was figuring out about someone that could help her, or if she was just too desperate that she was imagining things that had never happened.

Either way, she had nothing to lose.

"You don't have to listen to him, you know?"

Y/n said suddenly, her voice seeming to last forever in the dark room when Heeseung didn't reply.

"He'll only manipulate you to get what he wants. The minute you do something he doesn't agree with, he throws a tantrum."

She paused before continuing, spending the two seconds trying to read his expression in the darkness. A shadow fell conveniently over his face, shielding his thoughts from her sharp eyes.

"I know you feel trapped, but you still have a chance to live the life you wanted."

Her instinct was to reach her hand out to him, but was stopped by the rope that was tied around her wrists.

Despite this, her speech was moving enough in her ears, and she held her breath waiting for his reply.

The dark room fell silent for a good thirty seconds, giving Y/n's senses the chance to reach her properly.

The concrete floor was cold, and rather uncomfortable against her bare legs. The whole room smelled musty and abandoned, like she was being held hostage inside a recently-cleaned vaccuum cleaner.

The whole time the defening silence was banging against her eardrums, Heeseung stayed completely still, making it impossible for Y/n to tell if he was contemplating or just staying quiet.

He suddenly let out another sigh, and looked around the room, as if he'd be able to see if anyone was around.

He snuck around her hurriedly, leaving the flashlight on the floor, facing her.

Hope sparked in her heart and quickly caught alight when she felt his fingers brush against her wrist. The rope tying her hands together moved a little, indicating that they were being tampered with.

She stayed quiet, not wanting to wait for him to change his mind; although she was senind him as many telepathic 'thank you's as possible.

Just as she could feel the first knot behind her being untied, the sound of a door handle being used sounded from right in front of her.
