Haya's POV:
I snuggled cosily on my bed, enjoying my deep sleep. Suddenly, I heard low beeping. It was coming from my pillow. Struggling with the duvet,I pulled my phone out and saw that it was the alarm. 7:00 am. Plenty of time for a fifteen minute snooze. I turned off my phone and slept. I didn't realized how long I slept as I woke with a start. Fumbling for my phone, I frantically searched it on the bed till I found it near the edge of my bed and looked at the time. 8:15! I almost fell off my bed and rushed to the bathroom. Getting freshened up and looking acceptable, I grabbed my bag and my phone and went downstairs.
'Mom,I'm going to the college' I called her.
'Wait!' She came out of the kitchen. 'Is this the time?'
'Sorry mom,I just dozzed off. My first class is skipped, but next class is in half an hour. I need to reach there on time' I explained her hurriedly and tied my sneakers.
'Okay. Drive carefully'
'Yeah. Bye mom!'
I drove without any problem at first, but when I reached the main road,it was all packed. It was a horrible traffic jam and I begun panicking. Aj tou qismat Mai college jana likha hi Nahi hai. Allah please please please traffic jaldi clear hojae!! I prayed internally and sighed. After for it seems like an hour, the traffic cleared. I drove to the college and saw the time. 9:30am. How punctual,Haya. Just wow.
I took a deep breath and went in. My sociology class was in an hour and for now, I was free,so I made my way to the college library and took out 'A thousand splendid suns' by Khaled Hosseini. Before reading, I texted Haniya, asking her if she's free to join me here and then buried myself in the book.
Shehry's POV:
Urgh! Why do mom has to take tons of plates and dishes just for a single course? And I wonder how does she washes them.
My dear brother Hussain has dragged the 'who's more helpful son' topic on the table and stated that proudly that he's the one who washes the dishes everyday and I clean the bathroom. And even I couldn't deny that there isn't much work in cleaning the bathroom everyday while there are tons of dishes ready to be washed after every meal. And as I've been a lazy wreck past few days,so Hussain has to do my part of work also. So for a change, mom had decided for me to wash the dishes and to clean the bathroom. And now, I've to wash this whole mountain of plates, bowls, pans, pots, spoons, forks and knives with bits of food and stuff. Eww.
After I got done with them, and not to mention, to get my back strained, I headed towards my room. On my way, mom,dad and Maha were watching TV.
'Haan beta. Dholiyay bartan?' Dad grinned.
'Jee dad. Dholiyay', I replied weakly.
'Kiyun, thak gaye na? Socho ab Hussain kesay karta tha yeh sab itnay dino say',mom said.
'Sorry mom. I understand. But please, itnay bartan mat nikala karain. Sirf aik course hi tou hota hai' I whined.
'Lo bhai. Abhi say thak gaya. Abhi bathroom bhi tou dhona hai' Dad replied cheekily.
'Good luck with the bathroom job Bhai' Maha smirked.
'Shut up. Tumhai tou mai baad mai dekhta hun' I fake threatened her and she giggled.
I strolled lazily on the stairs and entered my room. Hussain was lying on the be, using his phone. He glanced at me and smirked.
'Aik word bhi kaha na,chittar khaega' I warned him before he could utter anything shitty.
'Kuch kaha mainay?' He grinned, making me want to beat the crap out of him.
As I was about to enter my bathroom,he yelled 'Have fun with the tatti'
I grabbed a lota and threw at him as he ran out of the room, laughing.
Idiot. I scrunched my nose and began cleaning my khubsurat sa saaf suthra bathroom, all thanks to my dear brother. Note the sarcasm here.
Haniya's POV:
I was in a supermarket to buy the groceries mom told me to. As she was tired, I asked her to do it myself. I was almost done when I realized that we're running short of nutella. I went to the chocolate portion and grabbed two jars. As I turned, I bumped into a guy, almost dropping my poor nutella. I hurriedly put them in the trolley.
'I'm so sorry I wasn't... Haniya?!' The guy said, surprised. I snapped to look up.
'Hussain! Hey', I managed to reply as I felt my cheeks turning hot.
'How're you?' He asked.
'I'm good. What about you?' I asked politely, and with difficulty.
'I'm good too' he said. There was an awkward silence between us.
'So... Um.. I gotta go now. Mom must be waiting' I said.
'Oh yeah. Sure. My mom must be waiting too' he said.
'Bye'
'Bye'
I turned to leave then suddenly he said,'Haniya!'
'Yeah?'
'Are you free tonight?'
'Yeah,why?' I asked nervously.
'You want to go to outing with me?' He asked. I was dumbstruck.
'Hey,don't get me wrong. Hashim, Hirat, Waqas,Atif and Shehry would be there too, and in that case,Haya should come too' he grinned at the end. I grinned back.
'Sure. Where are we going anyway?' I asked.
'Its not decided yet. I'll text you the location. Um.. In that case, can I have your number?' He asked politely. I felt like melting on the cute face he made.
'Sure. Here you go' I gave him my number.
'Thanks' he grinned.
'No problem' I said
We said our goodbyes and parted ways.
Okay Haniya. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale... OMG HUSSAIN ASIF JUST ASKED ME OUT!!! AIIIIII!!! I was screaming mentally.
I swear, tonight's gonna be one hell of a fun. I told myself and grinned my idiotic wide grin all the way from supermarket to my house.
