Haha anyways, enjoy the chapter ❤ :')))
Shehry's POV:
'Haan haan agaya bas. Haan haan. Haan. Bas gaari start karraha hoon mai. Haan haan. Okay. Okay. Hmm. Haan bas agaya. Allah Hafiz.' I hanged up the call and let out a loud sigh. Grabbing my file and my car keys,I sprinted downstairs to reach Hashim's office. He had called me to inform about some directing project. He sounded pretty serious, so I wasted no time in getting there. After parking my car, I entered his office and knocked.
'Come in' He called.
I entered and he smiled, offering me a seat.
'Formal much' I commented.
'Ab hona tou paray ga. Kaam hi aesa hai apna' he smiled. 'Anyways, I've called you to inform you that we've planned to send you out of the country for the directing project. You will accompany Mr Shahnawaz as an assistant director. Mr Shahnawaz is the CEO of our firm' he said looking dead serious and I nodded.
'Where am I being sent?' I asked.
'Pakistan'. He said and I nodded again.
'When?'
'Day after tomorrow. So,that's it for now. He'll explain you everything once you'll get there. So pack your bags and he'll pick you from the airport' he smiled.
'Um.. When will I get back?' I asked and he smirked. 'Kiyun tumhara Kya kaam hai idhar?'
I rolled my eyes. 'Ulta hi sochna hamesha.'
'Approximately three to four months' he said.
'Hm okay. I need to go then'
'Yeah,do pay my respect to your parents'
'Sure. Bye'
'Bye'
I got out from the office and drived home.
'Mom! Dad! I need to tell you something important' I called them as I slumped on the sofa.
'Haan beta, naam Kya hai uska?' Dad popped his head from his room.
'Kahan rehti hai?' Mom came out from the kitchen.
'Musalmaan tou haina?' Dad asked again.
'Hain Bhai haan kardi usnay?' Hussain yelled as he came down and I mentally committed suicide.
'There are a thousand important things which can be informed to the parents by their children.' I said annoyingly.
'And hash tag 'rishta' is one of them?' Hussain smirked as he leaned on my ear. I shoved him away and faced my parents.
'Mom,dad,I'm going to Pakistan day after tomorrow for my direction project. Hashim called me to his office today and assigned my project as an assistant director of Mr Shahnawaz' I explained everything.
'Really? That's great. How long will you stay there?' Hussain asked.
'For about three to four months' I replied and he nodded. He sat in silence for about a minute,then-
'Lambi zulfaan wali bhabi na lay aein'. My eyes widened as he smirked shamelessly in front of mom and dad,who controlled their grins too.
'Saalay,Teray liyay na lay aun mai koi aadhi ganji' I glared at him.
'Woh tou Waqas ki hai. Teray liyay tou Haya hi set hai' he winked and sprinted off,as I aimed a cushion at his smug face, but missed. Cursing, I went to my room and begun packing.
Haya's POV:
'Hayeeee Allahh meri taubaa!!' I squealed as I read Can You Mend My Heart. 'Shama Api chaa gayiiin aap' I blinked my eyes and kept reading with my jaw dropped, looking like a complete idiot. 'Hayee finally Shehry and Mahi are getting along' I sighed deeply and shut my eyes for a while, which was quite sore as I was reading since an hour or so without any break. I stretched widely and snuggled against my pillow cosily, and without even realizing, I dozzed off.
*flashback*
Bed covered with rose petals, and the whole room smelled like vanilla. Fairy lights hung from the ceiling, giving the room a dreamy look. Dressed in red lehenga,I took hold of the skirt and carefully climbed the stairs, making a delicate, clinging noise. I took a deep, deep breath, calming my senses. I'm finally Shehry's wife! My insides screamed.
'Stay strong, honey' mom whispered as she hugged me. I was bewildered.
'Mom,what's wrong?' I asked but she stared at my face blankly.
'Stay strong. We love you' she whispered as she backed off.
'Mom, what are you- MOM!!' I screamed as mom tripped from the stairs, landing on the floor.
The ladies gathered around her and took her away. I kept screaming her name till I completely blacked out.
I woke up from the sound of door opening. I hurriedly sat up,adjusting the heavy dupatta.
'Shehryaar!' I said hurriedly. 'Shehryaar,mom-' I begun saying something but stopped. He locked the door and turned. The whole room was dark except the fairy lights were on. He kept coming closer and closer till I could see his face clearly and gasped loudly.
'Shehryaar Nahi Haya. Shiraz'.

I woke with a start and begun panting loudly. Sweat was dripping from my forehead and my breath was heavy. The room suddenly seemed hot. I threw away the sheets and scrambled off my bed towards the bathroom,to take a long, cool shower to relax myself.
Shehry's POV:
(After a week)
'Okay Mr Shahnawaz, I'd rather be off now' I shook hands with my director and exited the set. It was almost dusk and I needed to pray. I made my way to a nearby mosque and drives at full speed. Ab qaza na hojae namaz. Haye Allah! Yeh traffic bhi na,bilkul time dekh kar jamaa hoti hai. I was lost in my thoughts as a loud honk caught my attention. I tried to reverse the car,but failed as the car crashed with mine, making me fall in the pit of blackness.

Blur images of fan came into my sight. I thought I saw somebody's head. I tried sitting up but failed as my head was getting really heavy and was hurting as hell. I tried getting up one last time, but failed. Something sharp stung my arm and I winced, but faded out again.

My face tickled as I blinked my eyes, getting conscious again. I felt something wet and cold on my forehead. I blinked few times again till my vision was clear. Thick, glossed lips were the first thing I saw. I backed off as the girl finished applying the ointment on my forehead.
'Who are you? And where am I?' I asked her.
'Now now,Mr whatever-your-name-is,calm down. You just gained your consciousness and panicking is not good for your health. By the way I'm Ushna. Ushna Shah. Your matron'.
