Haya's POV:
I ordered my khameerbob (Afghan Pasta) and tapped my fingers impatiently on the table. I was literally starving.
'Oey,bhooki bakri!' Shehry called me,as I was sitting away from him.
'Kya hai Marium' I said annoyed.
'Hey,don't mess with my name, huh. It's Mary-Yem' he said in his annoying, perverted female voice.
'Whatever' I rolled my eyes.
'Itna chillana parh raha hai mujhay. Can't you sit a bit closer?' He made a face.
'Can't you?!' I snapped back.
'Whatever. Atif, can you switch places with me?' He asked Atif making my jaw drop.
'What? You just called me,no?' He said with a smirk.
'Whatever' I rolled my eyes, though I was exploding from inside. As Atif was sitting next to me,he switched his place with Shehry with a rather annoying smirk. A shiver ran down my spine as his arm brushed mine as he sat. Haniya sat on my other side, talking to Hashim Bhai and others, so I snuggled a little close to her.
'Oey,tu idhar Kya karraha hai?' Hashim Bhai suddenly asked Shehry, and the rest snickered. I turned red as Atif decided to blow air to the flames.
'He switched his seat with mine. Haya say baat karni thi issay' he smirked while I shot him a deathly glare, and the rest hooted.
'Shut up. He was yelling at me from the other side so I called him close. To spare my poor ears' I explained, but would that convince the people I'm surrounded with? Hell,no. Meanwhile, my food came and I gulped it down the minute the waiter put it down in front of me.
'What?' I mouthed at everyone, as they were looking at me weirdly.
'Kitnay dino say khana Nahi khaya hai tumnay?' Waqas asked me.
'Chaar ghanton say' I managed to reply with my mouth full of food.
'Kitna khati hou, moti' Shehry smirked at me.
'Excuse me? Moti. That's what you called me,right? I'm probably the hottest girl in my college, okay' I sassed.
'Yeah right. Judging by your diet...' He trailed of carelessly.
'Judging by my diet, what?!' I snapped.
'Never mind' he said. I chose to ignore him and continued eating.
We sat quietly till about ten minutes. I don't know why I was being so cranky all of a sudden.
He suddenly leaned close to my earlobes and whispered,' Time of the month?' I chocked on my food and begun coughing. Haniya pat my back harshly and I drank some water to calm myself down. My face was heated up all of a sudden.
'You okay?' He asked, biting his lower lip, as if trying not to laugh.
'Yes,I am. Thank you very much' I said sarcastically, and he chuckled.
'I just thought of asking you that since you were so pissed off all of a sudden'.
'Mr Shehryaar Asif, there are a thousand reasons in the world for a girl to get pissed at' I said.
'And 'that' is one of them?' He winked cheekily and I punched him hard on his arms as he laughed. I giggled a little too.
'Bachi mai jaan hai' he said, while rubbing his arm.
'Aur woh bachi mai hoon' I said proudly.
'Shokhi bakri' he muttered.
'Paitoo bakra' I snapped back.
'Khud hogi bakri'
'Khud hoga bakra'
'Phaddaaa Alert!!!' Waqas yelled as everyone laughed. I felt someone starring at me from my left. I turned and found no one so I just shrugged it away and turned towards others. After everyone ate, we got up,paid the bills and get into the car. Before we got in,Hashim Bhai said with a sly smile 'One last thing before we go.'
'Seriously, Hashim?' Said Hirat Api. 'Do you guys still crave for ice cream?' She asked, emphasizing on 'still'.
'They are not normal humans, remember? They're born to eat' he chuckled.
'Yeah and you are also included in your hashtag 'abnormal human types' Shehry rolled his eyes. We drove to Baskin Robbins in order to keep up with their 'Born to eat' slogan. We were almost there when my phone rang. It was mom.
'Hello,mom?' I said.
'Haya.. Haya beta! Tumlog kahan hou?' Panic was evident on her voice.
'Mama hum bas adhay ghantay mai aanay walay hain. Sab theek haina? Aap itni ghabrai hui kiyun lagrahi hain?' I asked her, feeling scared all of a sudden. I saw Shehry,Hussain and Haniya looking at me intensely. Mom's voice came in low and panting.
'Haya.... Tumhare baba...Achanak... Heart stroke..'
