Perrie’s POV:
“You know I can’t keep hiding the baby bump forever Zayn.” He sighed into the phone receiver. It was late here, but this was the only time today that Zayn could get a break to call me. The others were asleep and I was trying to be quiet so I wouldn’t wake them.
“I know Per,” he said, “How should we announce it though?” I thought for a moment.
“I have an idea,” I said, and I quickly explained my idea, “We’ll probably have to clear it with management first.”
“You’re right about that,” Zayn said, “I can call them in an hour, after rehearsals, but I’m sure they’ll be fine with the idea.” We were both silent for a moment.
“You know, this flat isn’t going to be big enough for the ten of us plus a baby,” I said.
“Yeah, I was thinking about that a couple days ago,” Zayn said, “Which is why I think that when the boys and I have a break, you and I could go look for a new flat.” I smiled.
“Yeah, that’s a good idea-” I was interrupted by a scream.
“What was that?” Zayn asked, concerned, “Who screamed?”
“I don’t know,” I said. I stood up and walked out of the room. There was another scream and I recognized it as Kiara’s, “It’s Kiara.”
“Why is Kiara screaming?” Zayn asked. While I walked over to Kiara’s bedroom, I heard Niall’s voice on the other end of the call. I opened Kiara’s door and found her asleep, thrashing around in the bed. I quickly went over to her and set the phone down.
“Kiara, wake up,” I shook her and she woke up, eyes wide, breathing heavy.
“What- wh-”
“It was just a nightmare Kiara,” I soothed her, “Would you like to talk to Niall?” She nodded and I picked up my phone again, “Hey Zayn, could Kiara talk to Niall?”
“Yeah,” Zayn said. There were sounds of scuffling on the other end of the call, “He’s been trying to grab my phone for the past minute actually.” I rolled my eyes.
“Well, give it to him then!” I said. There was some noise as Zayn handed Niall the phone.
“Perrie? Is Kiara okay?” Niall asked quickly, worried.
“Yeah,” I said, “She wants to talk to you actually.” I handed Kiara the phone.
Niall’s POV:Finally, a break from rehearsals!
Zayn went off to call Perrie and Louis and Harry got into a mock fight and just ended up wrestling. Liam and I were just catching our breath and rehydrating.
After a few minutes, Zayn walked over to Liam and me and leaned against the wall by us.
“Yeah, I was thinking about that a couple days ago,” Zayn said, “Which is why I think that when the boys and I have a break, you and I could go look for a new flat.” He listened to what Perrie said, and then his eyebrows furrowed, “What was that?” Zayn asked, “Who screamed?” This caught everyone’s attention. Louis and Harry stopped wrestling and came over to stand by us. Zayn listened for a moment before glancing over to me, “Why is Kiara screaming?”
“Let me talk to her,” I said, holding out my hand for the phone, but Zayn didn’t make any motion to hand me the phone, “Zayn, please.”
“Hang on Niall,” he said, holding his finger up. I walked over to him and tried grabbing the phone from his hand, but he kept blocking my attempt. This just ended up instigating a wrestling match for the phone.
“Yeah,” Zayn said when he heard Perrie again, “He’s been trying to grab my phone for the past minute actually.” He listened to what Perrie said for a moment before handing me his phone.
“Perrie? Is Kiara okay?” I asked as I got up and walked away from the lads.
“Yeah,” she said, “She wants to talk to you actually.” Perrie handed Kiara the phone and I heard her sniffling.
“N-Ni?” she said shakily.
“I’m here Princess,” I said, “What’s wrong?”
“J-just a nightm-mare,” she stammered, “I know, its st-stupid, but-”
“No,” I interrupted her, “its not stupid babe. Can you tell me what the dream was about?” For a moment all I heard was Kiara’s sniffling, but then she said the one word that explained it all.
“A-Aaron.”
After everything he’s done to her… no wonder she’s having nightmares about him. Two years Kiara had to deal with that douche bag, and every time that he laid his hands on her, every time that his fist came into contact with her skin, it just made her more and more afraid of him.
“Have you been having a lot of nightmares about him?” I asked.
“Not really,” Kiara said quietly, “Just recently I’ve been having them.”
“Why?” Kiara was silent for another moment.
“H-he’s been texting me, threatening me.” My blood ran cold and it seriously took all my strength not to let my anger seep into my voice.
“For how long?” I asked.
“A week,” Kiara said, “Ever since we ran into him.” I sighed.
“Listen, when you and the girls come to visit us, I want you to show me these texts, okay?”
“Mhmm.”
"And if need be, I can ask Paul to have one of the guards stay with you.”
“Ni-”
“Louis’ already going to try and get a guard to keep Derek away from Valerie,” I said, “I just want you to be safe babe. Will you at least consider it?” Kiara sighed.
“I’ll think about it,” she said just before she yawned.
“You should go back to sleep Kiara,” I said, “I’ll talk to you later, okay?”
“Mhmm,” Kiara hummed.
“I love you Princess.”
“Love you too Ni.”
We hung up and I walked back over to the boys.
“Everything okay now?” Zayn asked as I handed him his phone. I nodded.
“For now,” I said, “She’s been having nightmares about her ex.” Zayn nodded and he looked over to Harry and Louis, who had gone back to wrestling again.
“OW!” Louis yelled wrapping his arms around his knee and pulling it to his chest, “HAZZA! YOU HURT ME!” I shook my head.
“What are we going to do with those two?” Zayn chuckled.
