Liam's POV:
~December 8th~
It had been a month since Valerie's surgery and everything was going well. Louis was spending most of his time at Valerie's side and Harry went to visit her often as well.
We were all on break, no interviews, no photoshoots, no concerts, only some recording here and there for the next album.
Harry, Holly, Niall, Kiara, and I were at the flat, waiting. Holly was having her sister come over to meet us for the first time, having spent a lot of time with her over the past month. We didn't plan on going anywhere so we were just hanging out in the living room. Niall had pulled out our Xbox and a few games and started it up.
"Remember when we used to spend hours playing these games?" Kiara asked Niall after he handed her a controller.
"Yeah," he said, "No offense, but you really sucked at playing those video games."
"Yeah, just because you say 'no offense' doesn't make it not offensive."
"Well it's true."
"Eh, we'll see who wins this time."
"And you think it's going to be you?"
"Guys," Holly interrupted, "Just shut up and play a video game. Alexandra's going be here any minute." Just as Holly said this, there was a knock at the door, "Or she's here now." I stood up and walked to the door. I opened the door and there stood, who I assumed to be Alexandra. She smiled and I swear my heart skipped a beat.
"Hi Liam," she said, still smiling, "I'm Alexandra. Most people call me Lexi though."
"Never Alex?" I asked. Really? 'Never Alex?' She shrugged.
"Not often," she said. I stepped aside to let her into the flat and she walked in.
"Hey Lexi!" Holly said, standing up and walking over to hug her sister. Alexandra hugged her back and the girls quietly chatted for a few seconds, only loud enough for the two of them to hear it, before Holly introduced her to the others.
The rest of the day was spent getting to know Alexandra. We just stayed in the living room and played video games together, (Alexandra kicked all our asses when we played FIFA), then ordered pizza when we got hungry. After we ate, Holly, Harry, Alexandra, and I went into the kitchen to hang out while Kiara and Niall stayed in the living room to keep playing video games.
Alexandra told us about herself; how the only family she had left besides Holly was her older brother, Dalton, and how she lived in a flat not too far from ours. She told us that she worked at Starbucks and that in her free time she liked to read and write.
The more she told us, the more I wanted to know about her.
When it was time for her to go, we walked into the living room to find a flabbergasted Niall and a smirking Kiara.
"How did you go that?!" Niall asked. Kiara put on an innocent look.
"Do what?" she asked. Niall motioned to the TV dramatically.
"That!" he said, "How did you get so good at these games?!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about," she laughed. She looked over at us, "Leaving so soon Lexi?" Alexandra nodded.
"I've got work in the morning," she said, "Maybe I could swing by after work though?" She looked back at Holly who nodded.
"You're welcome here anytime," I said. Alexandra turned to look at me.
"Thanks Liam," she said. We all said our goodbyes and Alexandra left. It wasn't even a minute after she left when Holly spoke up.
"So Liam," she sing-songed, "Was it just me or were you staring at Lexi a lot while she was here?" I could feel my face turn red as I ignored her and walked to a sofa and sat down.
"Look at him! He's blushing!" Kiara said, "Aw! Does Liam have a little crush?" she teased. I ignored her and went to reach for an xbox controller.
"He does!" Holly laughed and I felt my face turn a deeper shade of red. Before they could tease more, Harry's phone rang.
"Hello?" He listened to the caller, the smile that was previously on his face gradually disappearing, "Are you serious? It's too early isn't it?" Pause, "Okay, we'll be there soon." He hung up and looked up at us, "That was Louis. He said that the doctors are worried about one of the babies' heart rates so they're getting Valerie ready for a c-section."
A.N.:
Hey y'all!
I'm feeling a lot better but I'm still taking antibiotics and my doctor said that I'll need to come back in later 'cause there was something my samples (I'm not giving out details because TMI). So there might be something else wrong... but I don't know yet... ugh...
Anyways, there's maybe going to be one or two chapters left in TMD, then I'm probably gonna start Twisted on my birthday or some time around that.
I guess that's all so until next time, later gaters!
