Valerie’s POV:
The sunlight streamed through the shades and I turned away from the blinding light. I breathed in and smiled when I inhaled Louis’s familiar scent.
“Good morning love,” he said, kissing my forehead. I opened my eyes and smiled up at Louis.
“Good morning Louis,” I yawned, stretching a bit.
“So, what do you want to do today until the concert?” Louis asked, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me close to him so that our foreheads were touching.
“I just want to spend some time with you,” I said, “I’m up for anything as long as we get to spend the day together.” Louis raised an eyebrow.
“Anything, hmm?” He smiled as he trailed kisses down to my neck. I bit my lip to hold back a moan when he started sucking on my neck.
“Anything,” I confirmed.
“You two are so lucky Harry’s room is at the other side of the hall,” Liam whispered to me and Louis as everyone gathered for breakfast, “Try to keep quiet next time.” I blushed and looked down at the ground. Liam chuckled, “You may also want to cover your neck or something. I can see that love bite from a mile away.” I positioned my hair so that my neck was covered. Liam gave me a thumbs up and Danielle came over to join next to him. Louis also came to stand next to me.
“Don’t worry,” she giggled as Liam put his arm around her waist, “We won’t tell.” She winked and I felt my cheeks get even redder as she and Liam went to go and see how Kiara was doing.
“What was he talking about?” Louis asked.
“This morning,” I said. Louis nodded and chuckled.
“We probably could have been quieter,” he said and winked.
We were in the lobby, waiting for Paul’s okay to leave the hotel. We were all free to do what we pleased until the concert tonight. Zayn and Perrie were staying here at the hotel because Perrie wasn’t feeling her best at the moment. Louis and I were going to grab something to eat and then go for a walk around the city.
“You’re okay to go guys,” Paul said as he stepped through the front doors of the hotel, “We’ve got vehicles ready to take you where you need to go.” We were led out of the hotel, one group at a time. Harry and Holly were led out first, then Liam, Danielle, and Kiara. Louis and I were led out last.
The paps were being held back by several security guards, none even getting close enough to get a decent picture. They bombarded us with questions.
“How long are the girls staying in Chicago?”
“Is Niall doing okay? Will he still be performing?”
“Valerie, how does it feel to be the beard for Larry?” At this question Louis growled and gripped my hand tighter. Paul opened the door for us and when we were inside the van he shut the door and we were off.
“Have people been sending you hate lately?” Louis asked, still flustered by the paps’ questions. I shrugged.
“I don’t know,” I said, “I haven’t really been reading my mentions lately.” I took out my phone and went onto twitter. Louis took the phone out of my hands before I could look at my mentions. He scrolled down the page, reading the tweets as he did. His eyebrows furrowed and he sighed.
“Just, don’t look at your mentions,” he said, handing my phone back to me.
“Was it that bad?” I asked. Louis bit his lip.
“Kind of,” he said, “I just wish people who ship Larry would calm down just a little.” He looked down at the floor of the van, avoiding my gaze.
“Lou,” I said as I took his hand and intertwined our fingers, “We both know that Larry is just a bromance and our relationship is real and if some fans don’t believe that, it’s their problem, not ours. I’m not going to let what they say get to me, so you shouldn’t either.” Louis smiled a little and brought our joined hands up to his lips and placed a kiss on the back of my hand.
“I love you so much,” he said, “I hope you know that.”
“I know,” I said, a smile spreading across my face, “But I bet I love you more.” Louis chuckled and shook his head as he wrapped his arm around me.
“Trust me, that’s not possible.”
