Holly’s POV:
I whirled around to come face to face with one of the people who haunted my nightmares for my entire life. I knew from experience that my uncle was a dangerous man who shouldn’t be messed with and that my only chance to get away from him was to run. My uncle sneered and before I had a chance to run, he grabbed my wrist with a tight grip and pulled me closer to him. I could almost smell the alcohol on his breath as he smiled down at me.
“You have no idea how long your aunt and I have been looking for you,” he said, “We were finally able to find you when that boyfriend of yours cheated on you. Paparazzi should really learn to keep information secret shouldn’t they? I’ll have to thank them someday, we need our punching bag.” He laughed and I twisted my wrist out of his hand.
“Run!” I yelled at Kiara, who didn’t hesitate to follow me in running away from my uncle. I heard his laugh from behind us as we ran down the alleyway. We turned a corner and skidded to a halt. Damn it.Dead end…
We reached the back wall and searched for some way to get out of the alleyway, some ladder or some low fence that we could jump over, but there were no exits, we were trapped. I heard his footsteps coming closer and I whipped my head around to see my uncle turning the corner.
“Dead end sweethearts,” he said, smirking. He walked over to me and grabbed my wrist again, digging his nails into my skin. I cried out and my uncle went to grab Kiara’s wrist. He pulled her to him and smiled.
“Never had a red head before,” he smiled and Kiara’s eyes went wide in fear. The both of us were struggling to get out of his grasp.
“NIALL! HARRY!” Kiara screamed for help and my uncle shook her.
“Shut it,” he hissed. Kiara screamed again and he pushed me to the ground, making me hit my head on the opposite wall and see stars. He pushed Kiara up against the other wall and covered her mouth.
“I told you,” he hissed again, barely audible, “To shut it.” Not even a second later he gasped and pulled away from Kiara, who took off running out of the alleyway, “YOU LITTLE BITCH! YOU BIT ME!” He was about to go after her when he must have thought better of it. He walked over to me and pulled me standing, grabbing me by the wrist again and pulling me along with him.
My uncle began walking out of the alleyway and towards the street. I dug my heels into the ground to try to resist him and he turned on me. He pulled his hand back and slapped me, stunning me for a moment and allowing him to drag me further towards the road. I leaned down to my wrists and bit at his hands. He yelled and let go of my wrists and I began to run away from him but he grabbed my shirt and pulled me back.
“You little bitch!” he growled in my ear. He pushed me against the wall and I screamed. He sent a kick to my gut and the air was forced out of my lungs when he hit my diaphragm. I gasped for air, tears welled in my eyes, and my knees gave out. He got one more good kick in, a direct blow to the face, before I heard my savior.
“HEY BASTARD!” My uncle turned to the voice only to be tackled to the ground by Harry. My vision was slightly blurred by the tears but I could faintly see either Harry or my uncle beating the shit out of the other. Niall and Kiara rushed over to me. Kiara had her cell phone out and was calling the police and Niall knelt by me. He took off his sweatshirt and held the fabric up to my nose, which was most likely bleeding, maybe even broken.
I saw that either Harry or my uncle stood up. He walked closer to me and crouched down and I was relieved to see that it was Harry. My uncle lay unconscious on the ground, no doubt badly beaten. Harry helped me prop myself up against the wall and took Niall’s sweatshirt from him, continuing to hold it to my nose.
“He’s going to jail,” Harry said, a focused look on his face, “Your uncle won’t be bothering you anymore; I won’t let him hurt you ever again.”
A.N.:
Hey y'all!
So today during Digital Media class, Jerusha and I were reading the gizoogle version of Never Broken... we couldn't stop laughing it was so funny! People were giving us weird looks because we were laughing so much! You guys gotta read it, it's hilarious!
I've actually been an emotional wreck all day. Today was my last normal day of high school and, despite the fact that I've complained so much about school and my teachers and the homework and my classes, I'm really going to miss my school. So I was an emotional wreck today because it hit me that it was the last time I'd be going through that schedule. During first hour we watched an episode of 'Modern Family', during second hour we reviewed for the exam, during third hour Jerusha and I screwed around on gizoogle, four hour I wrote preferences, fifth hour we had a live music performance by a band in my class (THEY ACTUALLY OPENED FOR IMAGINE DRAGONS OH MY GOD THERE WERE POTENTIAL ROCK STARS IN MY CLASS AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT), sixth hour we worked on our final exam and packed up our art projects, seventh hour we watched The Apprentice, and then eighth hour we tried to play a review game but just ended up drawing on the white board. I was seriously an emotional wreck though, I thought I was going to cry. And then I got home... -_-
Please go and check out my One Direction Preferences! I work hard on them and I'd love for you guys to read them!
Well, I've got exams for the next three days and then graduation practice, the senior tailgate, and then three days after the last exam is graduation, so I don't know when I'll update next. It may be tomorrow, it may be in a week or two... who knows... so, until next time, later gaters!
(Keep in mind that this author's note was written like a week ago... I apologize but I wanted you guys to know this stuff)
