No One’s POV:
Two Months Later
~September 17th~
Two months can seem like such a short amount of time, but so much can change in just those few weeks.
The boys were put under a lot of stress, their management having them constantly working, almost no breaks during the past two months. They were traveling all across the United States, from Miami to San Francisco. They stayed for maybe a week in every city. Their schedules were hectic, consisting of so many interviews and meet and greets that by the time they got back to the hotel rooms all they could do was crash for the night. It wasn’t just their job that stressed them out either; their personal lives also played a part.
Perrie and Zayn had somehow managed to buy their new flat, furnish it, and finish the nursery without Zayn coming home. Perrie’s due date, November 14th, was nearing quickly and tour ended just before then, November 8th, but Zayn was worried that she’d go into labor while he was still on tour. He was scared he’d miss the birth of his child. Perrie had gotten around to telling the girls that Zayn had proposed, taking advantage of the break from all the drama. She had chosen Valerie to be her maid of honor and Zayn had chosen Louis to be his best man, but they still had no idea when the wedding would actually take place.
Niall’s been quieter than normal, he’s been pushing the rest of the boys away and none of them can figure out why. Kiara makes sure to check up on him whenever they both have the time, but it’s tough for both of them. They were also struggling to keep their relationship strong, fighting so much over the tiniest things. They loved each other, there was no doubt about that, but the constant fighting was taking a toll on their relationship. It was a constant cycle: argument, silent treatment, apologies, peace and then the cycle would start all over again. To make matters worse, Aaron had been released from custody and no one had a clue where he could be, which had both, Niall and Kiara, paranoid.
Harry was afraid that Holly wouldn’t take him back. He was putting as much as he could into showing her just how much he loved her. He knew that material things weren’t what Holly wanted and it wouldn’t show her anything. So he stopped drinking so much, being careful not to put himself in situations that would cloud his judgment. And then every morning, at exactly 7:00 a.m., Harry would send Holly a short text message, naming one thing that he loved about her and why. He did this every morning without fail and when Holly read the message, it brightened her day. The texts gave her that boost that kept her happy. She was torn though. On one side she was still hurt. She had said that she forgave Harry, but a lot of the things she did said otherwise, everything from randomly belting out the lyrics of breakup songs to walking out of the room whenever someone mentioned Harry’s name. On the other side, she still loved him, loved him so much it hurt. She didn’t know what she’d do when he came home.
Liam and Danielle had grown apart and eventually broke up again. It was a mutual decision, both realizing that their relationship just wasn’t going to work. No one was to blame, but it still took a toll on the both of them. Danielle had gotten work with Pixie Lott and had left the flat to tour with her as Pixie’s back up dancer. Liam was down for a few days before finding a way to make him feel better: messing around on stage. He and Louis became partners in crime when it came to goofing off. Louis was the brains of the pranks and Liam set them into motion. Most of the time, Harry was their target. He had tried to pants Harry again, pulled Harry away from the side of the stage by his leg, and kept taking swings at Harry, aiming for his crotch every time. One time, during Harry’s solo in What Makes You Beautiful, Liam had massaged Harry’s shoulders, earning a throaty moan from him in the middle of the solo. The fans were starting to notice the change in Liam and wondered if the old Liam would ever come back.
Louis had to be the most stressed out of all five of them. He wanted his and Valerie’s relationship to be public again, but management wouldn’t let them. You’d think that management’s reason behind not letting them go public would be so that it looked like a good portion of One Direction was single, but management had other plans. They had made a deal with Trish South Management to have one of their clients date one of the guys; it was some crazy scheme to help boost sales of One Direction merchandise. At the time, Liam and Danielle were still together and the public didn’t know that Harry and Holly were taking a break, so Louis got the short end of the stick, being forced to fake a relationship with Jennifer Lawrence. So far, management’s plan was working great. Directioners and Tributes were happy about the ‘relationship’ and both managements benefited, with merchandise sales going up. The only flaw in the managements’ plans was that both, Louis and Jennifer, had to hide their relationships. While Jennifer got to sneak off to see her boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult, whenever she wanted, Louis was stuck wherever the next concert was, only able to talk to Valerie in the privacy of his hotel room. Valerie knew that it was only for publicity, and she knew that Louis loved her, but it hurt to see news about it wherever she went. It almost made it real to her. Each forced embrace, every staged kiss, it just hurt her more. Valerie had to stay inside most of the time, finding it much more difficult to hide the baby bump. Management had begun to control this portion of her life, instructing her to keep hiding the pregnancy, just long enough for sales to increase. After that, they’d stage a breakup and then both Louis and Jennifer would be free to date whomever they wanted to publicly. Until then, Louis and Valerie just had to settle for early morning texts and late night skype calls.
They were all just hoping that things would get better soon.
