Valerie’s POV:
*Two Weeks Later*
All of us were now friends with Dan, we’d even gotten to hang out with him and Phil a few times. We’ve all spent time together several times in the past week and that hadn’t gone unnoticed by the paps. They’ve come with crazy ideas about me cheating on Louis with Dan, and things like that. I’ve talked to Louis about it and he didn’t believe one word of what was being said, thank God. Actually, he found it to be hilarious.
The girls and I were now going over to Dan’s flat to pick him up. We had invited both, him and Phil, to travel to Chicago with us for the boys’ next concert, but Phil had gotten ill at the last second so he had to stay here. Dan was still coming along though and while we were gone, Phil had volunteered to cat sit Darcy for us.
We pulled up to their flat and Dan came out with his bag.
“Hey girls,” he said, squeezing into the back seat with Perrie and I.
“Hey Dan,” we all chorused back.
“Now, the boys don’t know we’re coming, right?” he asked.
“Yep,” I said, “They have no idea.” Kiara started to drive off again and when we got to the airport, we were quickly on the plane and off to Chicago.

The concert had already started by the time we got into the rental van at the airport.
“How much time does it take to get there from here?” Kiara asked, getting into the front seat. Holly hopped into the driver’s seat, Perrie and Danielle were in the second row of seats, and Dan and I were in the back. Holly started the engine and we were off.
“About fifteen minutes,” Holly said. Kiara turned on the radio and turned up the volume. I laughed when I heard what song it was and Perrie hid her face, smiling a little. I started singing along.
          “It’s in his DNA, D-D-D-DNA
          It’s in his DNA
And he just takes my breath away
B-b-b-breath away, I feel it every day
And that’s what makes a man.
Not hard to understand, perfect in everyway
I see it in his face, nothing more to say
          It’s in his D-D-D-D-DNA.

The others were laughing at Perrie’s reaction and Dan turned to me.
“I didn’t know you could sing,” he said.
“Neither did we,” Holly said. I smiled and looked down.
“Have you ever thought about starting a singing career?” Dan asked. I shrugged.
“Louis and Harry talked to me about it once, but I didn’t really want to.”
“You should put some covers up on YouTube,” Dan suggested, “The world deserves to hear your singing.” I thought about it.
“Maybe when we get back to London,” I said, “The boys have their own music room, recording studio and all.”
“I can help you with the video,” Dan said.
“And I can help out with the song editing,” Perrie offered. I smiled.
“We’ll be at the arena in a few minutes guys,” Holly said, turning a corner. And just like Holly said, within a few minutes she was parking the van and we were getting out. We walked up to the door and after we got past security, we found our way to side stage. We had gotten there just in time to hear the beginning One Way Or Another. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the boys, as they were on the stage that was set up in the middle of the crowd.
“Hi girls!” We turned around to see a security guard walking over to us, “You wanna get a better view?” We nodded and the security guard led the six of us to an area just outside of the fans’ reach, where we could see what was happening on stage.
We thanked the guard and turned our attention back to the stage, just as the boys were finishing the song. The fans cheered and screamed, so loud that I had to cover my ears.
“How can they handle all this screaming without going deaf?” Dan yelled over the roar of the crowd. Perrie shrugged.
“You get used to it,” she said.
“Everyone having a good time?” Niall asked the crowd, getting more screams in response, “Alright, the next part of the show it the most important part of a One Direction show.” He paused for a moment, “Twitter!” The other boys walked back and forth on the stage, taking quick drinks of water from the water bottles the security around the stage handed them and taking time to wave at the crowd, “Okay, so we’ve taken in some of your questions and we’re going to answer them here and now.” More screams. He glanced at the boys, “Who wants to take the first one?”
“Why don’t you take it Niall?” Louis asked.
“Alright, I’ll take the first one,” Niall said, glancing up at the screen projecting the twitter questions and walking forward, “Oh look it’s for me! Which song do you love to play most on guitar Niall? Erm… I like playin’ like a… like a… a remix of What Makes You Beautiful and I’m Sexy and I Know It.” The girls went wild as Niall sang the last part and I heard Kiara’s giggling.
The boys continued answering the questions. About half way through the twitter questions, a shoe was thrown onstage, just barely missing Louis.
“Whoa! Louis just got a shoe thrown at him!” Niall exclaimed.
“A shoe, wow…” Harry said as he picked up the shoe and stepped forward. Louis began to talk when he was interrupted by another shoe being thrown onstage, nailing Harry in the crotch. The girls screamed as Harry doubled over and fell to the ground and I saw Dan wince as he watched Harry.
“Poor lad,” he said, empathizing with him.
“Right in the balls!” Louis shouted. Liam immediately walked over to Harry to see if he was alright.
“Man down,” he said, bending over to touch Harry’s shoulder, “Are you okay?” Zayn then went over to them, “Harry, come on,” Liam continued, “Harry, talk to me.” Harry soon uncurled from the fetal position and stood up. He stretched at bit before the boys continued to answer more questions, although, Harry definitely didn’t move around as much as he normally would’ve…
They eventually got to the last question of the night.
“Okay,” Liam sighed, “What song can you not stop listening to?” He walked over to Zayn and stood in front of him, “Zayn? What song can’t you stop listening to?” Zayn thought for a moment.
“I’d have to say Locked Out of Heaven by Bruno Mars,” Zayn answered.
“Nice choice, nice choice,” Liam said as he moved on to Niall, “Nialler? Your choice?”
“Next 2 You by Chris Brown and Justin Bieber,” Niall answered. Liam nodded and moved on to Harry, “Haz?”
“Well, there’s this song that my girlfriend sent me,” Harry started, “I think it’s called Superluv by this guy named Shane Dawson?” Liam nodded.
“Sounds like a good one,” Liam said before finally stopping at Louis, “Lou?” I could see Louis’s smile.
“I haven’t been able to get the song If These Sheets Were States by All Time Low out of my head for the past week.”
“And why would that be?” Liam asked.
“It’s a pretty catchy tune,” Louis said, “And I can kinda relate to the lyrics.”
“I don’t think I’ve heard that song before,” Niall said, “Mind singing a snippet?” Louis shrugged.
“If these sheets were the states and you were miles away
I’d fold them end over end to bring you closer to me
Because I don’t sleep at all without you pressed up against me
I settle for long distance calls I’m lost in empty pillow talk again.
” Louis sang. The crowd went wild and a few girls aww’ed I was smiling big and Holly nudged my arm.
“If that’s how he feels now, imagine what he’ll be like when he sees you’re here!” she said, shouting over the crowd’s roars.
The rest of the concert went by pretty fast after that. The boys ended with What Makes You Beautiful and when the arena went dark and the concert ended, the security guard, who had stayed with us the whole time, led us backstage again. The boys were in their changing room, so we waited for them to exit. Dan stayed back a bit and after a few minutes the door opened and Zayn walked out after finishing changing. He looked up and immediately froze when he saw Perrie.
          “Per?” Perrie smiled.
“Surprise!” she said. Zayn smiled and ran to her, enveloping her in a hug. The boys must have heard Zayn, because they all came out of the dressing room, Louis and Liam still shirtless.
Louis and I locked eyes and we both smiled. He quickly made his way over to me and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he put his hands at my waist, pulling me closer to him. I hadn’t realized exactly how much I missed his kisses until now.
We broke apart, both grinning big.
“If these sheets were the states, huh?” I asked, smirking. He chuckled.
“Yeah,” he said, “I’d do anything to stay close to you.”

A.N.:
AAAWWWWWWW
I HAD LOUIS FEELS AFTER THAT, OKAY???
Anyways... hey y'all!
Long chapter, huh? You guys prefer these chapters? Or are you okay with the normal ~800 word chapters?
So... Valerie's going to become a YouTube singer... like Megan Nicole or Dave Days... what should her username be? And what song should she make a cover of first?
I know you guys are going to say that this is turning into one of those cliche stories where a relative of one of the boys becomes famous and all and you would advise me not to do it... but Valerie has already declined Harry's AND Louis's offers to let them help her get signed by Simon in a chapter in Never Broken. She'll continue to refuse to be signed. She'll just put some videos up on YouTube of her singing. Okay? Is that cliche?
Okay, that's it for today, until next time, later gaters!
