Valerie's POV:

~October 2nd~

I was back in the basement; the dark, cold basement that hadn't been in my nightmares for a while. I didn't know why I was down here or how I had gotten here, but one thing was for sure: I was terrified.

The floorboards above me creaked as someone walked across the floor. The door to the basement opened and the person walked down the stairs, the creaks and moans of the staircase echoing around the room. I felt the need to get away from this person, get as far away from them as I could. I tried to move my arms but I immediately met resistance. I looked up and saw that my wrists were tied to the wall. I twisted and pulled at the rope, trying to find some slack.

"It's no use sweetheart," the person said. I whipped my head in the direction of the voice and saw the man I thought I'd never have to see again.

"Let me go Richard," I demanded, still struggling with the ropes. He just laughed.

"Come on sweet cheeks, that's no fun now is it?" he asked. My only reply was spitting in his direction. He walked closer and knelt in front of me, "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to get you back," he said. I kept trying to struggle against the ropes as he reached for his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife. He flicked it open and looked down at my baby bump, "Now to take care of one last issue." He pressed the knife to the bump, drawing the blade across the skin as I screamed.

"WAKE UP!"

My eyes flew open and I immediately saw Holly, leaning over me with a look of concern on her face.

"Are you okay Val?" she asked. I took in my surroundings, just glad I wasn't in the basement, and nodded.

"Erm, yeah," I said, "Just I nightmare I guess." Holly nodded.

"Okay," she sighed, "Well, you might as well stay awake now, it's nearly nine." I nodded and sat up, swinging my feet over the edge of the bed. I took a deep breath and sighed. I thought these nightmares had gone away months ago...

"Wait," I said, noticing the sweet smell of chocolate that hung in the air, "Why does it smell like chocolate?"

"Kiara and Perrie are here," Holly said, "And Kiara's trying out some recipe she found online."

"For what?"

"I have no idea," Holly said, "All I know is that she's making a mess and she's not leaving here until that kitchen is spotless." I nodded and Holly left the room.

I got ready and dressed and went downstairs, heading to the kitchen right away. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the room. There were a few bowls of melted chocolate spread around the counters and a big bowl of smashed up chocolate cake. There were a few trays of chocolate  coated balls of, what I assumed was the chocolate cake, laid out on the island.
