Jaya drives to school. It's her first time back to school since the miscarriage. As soon as she gets out of her car, Fabiola and Eleanor both attack her in a bright hug. Jaya smiles as she hugs the, and them Aneesa pulls her into a warm embrace.

"We have something to tell you guys," Fabiola says to the gang in the cafeteria.

"We are together," Aneesa announces.

"What? How? When? Why?" Devi blurts. "Well, I know why. You guys are both hot."

"Well, we kinda kissed a while ago," Aneesa admits.

"You did?" Eleanor gasps in awe.

"Yeah," Fabiola says. "We both had crushed in secret, but decided to make it official at the coffeehouse."

Paxton walks over and sits down. He hands Jaya a thing of lemonade.

"Holy crap, you guys," Devi gushes. "This is so exciting!"

"What'd I miss?" Paxton asks.

"Aneesa ams Fabiola are together," Jaya says.

"That's great," Paxton says.

The girls all go to hug the new couple and Paxton smiles and the bell rings.

Jaya and Paxton walk out holding hands. Paxton kisses Jaya when the bell rings and Jaya goes by her locker before class.

"How is she really doing, Paxton?" Indra asks the boy as they sit in the living room, Indian music playing in the background.

"She's sad," Paxton replies. "She's holding it together, but I think she'll be okay. She has a huge support system. Amelia's, her family, me, her friends."

"I worry," Indra says. "Thanks for being here."

"Of course," Paxton says. "I wish I could stay here forever so I don't have to leave her, but I don't think my sister's ready for me to leave yet."

"Whenever you're ready, Jaya's bed is open to you now and there are guest rooms," Indra says. "I'm turning in early. I have be at the hospital by five in the morning. Goodnight, Paxton."

"Goodnight, Indra."

Paxton stays on couch as Indra turns the music off and disappears upstairs. Pax stays there for a while before he goes upstairs to be with Jaya.

Jaya goes to the school on Saturday to tutor while debate goes on. There was a fire so Jaya and her tutee Jaimie are on a picnic table working on the AP French I that Jaya seems to be need. They move inside and to the cafeteria to work on tutoring some more once the fire is out and smoke is cleared from the drama room.

Jaya goes to the debate in the English classroom in time for the closing arguments. Jaya goes and she sits beside Aneesa.

"Our planet becomes less habitable by the day," Des, Devi's 'friend' begins, "so private space exploration is imperative to human survival. As a local venture capitalist stated in a recent LA Times op-ed, 'it is our sacrosanct duty..."

Eric laughs. "He said stank doodie."

"Eric, shut up," Jaya demands.

"Shutting up," Eric replies just as quickly.

"Eric, go to detention!" Manish instructs once he's quiet and Eric storms out.

"It is our sacrosanct duty as private companies to ensure the future of our species," Des says, finally finishing since Eric isn't interrupting anymore. "So those beautiful twinkling lights in the sky can still represent hope. Thank you."

The people watching the dance applaud. Jaya does a little because that was impressive.

"Sherman Oaks, you're up," Manish says.

"Before I begin," Devi turns to Des, "what was the name of the venture capitalist who wrote that op-ed?"

"Oh, um..." Des looks at the notecards, "yeah, Peter Flume."

Devi turns to Fabiola. "I need the Tootler."

"What?" Fab asks.

'The Sherman Pams Tootler," Devi says.

"Here." Jaya hands her the copy she has. "Uncle Indra likes reading them."

"Thank you, Cousin," Devi says.

Jaya nods and she sits back down quickly. Devi unfolds the paper.

"I'd like to introduce into evidence the December 9th edition of the Sherman Oaks Tootler," Devi says. "Turns out your boy is a resident of Sherman Oaks, and his mansion's pervy Christmas display was so big that it cut power to a local hospital." She turns the newspaper and she shows them the cover. "My fellow humans, guys like this don't care about anyone else. Privatization makes the world a crappier, more unjust place." She scoffs. "No matter if it's in space exploration or in education." She cuts her eyes to Des before the paper goes to the floor between them as she's applauded.

"Let's go!" Aneesa chants lowly and she fist bumps Jaya.

Sherman Oaks ends up winning and Jaya cheers.

"Yes!" Jaya smiles. "I can go home."

She leaves the classroom.

"That made me feel better," Jaya says to Emmett, who is on the debate team.

"That's great."

They walk and Paxton is outside when they make it out.

"Sherman Oaks won the debate this year, even against the seniors," Emmett says to Paxton after they bro-hug.

Jaya watches as Paxton and Emmett leave after Paxton gives her a kiss. Jaya drives herself home and she goes upstairs. She goes live on Instagram to talk to everyone of her followers (from school mainly) who don't know about her miscarriage, she tells them about it and she opens up about her pain. She doesn't know that Paxton has joined with his sister and parents and they all cry as Jaya puts on a strong face as she wakes up.
